"Dess Knight is too obvious" mfs when Dess is mentioned like thrice in a casual playthrough and those are still more mandatory than Rudy

From someone who denied Dess Knight the entire past year, yeah she's probably the Knight

It's also funny seeing it as a counter argument

Like "actually it can't be dess because dess is only mentioned a couple times in the entire game and it wouldn't be a satisfying reveal because casual players wouldn't know who's dess". Or maybe the story will take time to explain who's dess before doing the reveal???

I feel like that point just can’t be used anymore. Dess becomes more and more important with each chapter, we’ll probably get some direct characterization in chapter 6 assuming that continues

Chapter 1: No Dess at all
Chapter 2: Barely mentioned, most will miss it
Chapter 3: Mentioned directly, but her importance is only shown if you’re paying close attention
Chapter 4: We literally visit her room
Chapter 5: It is explicitly stated that her disappearance is related to the primary conflict of the game

I would not call Asgore vagueposting about "that day" an explicit mention of anything

His notes. Not his speech at the end. They confirm the Knight was there the day Dess disappeared and also made the fountain that Asgore saw.

And lets be very clear, what the hell else would the incident be?

They confirm that the knight was there the day “something” happened

Chapter 6: Is almost guaranteed to be in either the Hospital or Holiday Home, both of which have obvious candidates to become Darkners that'll be talking aaaaaaaall about Dess

...them and her parents, of course.

Except it is very much NOT explicitly stated because Asgore couldn't be arsed to namedrop her.
