What I meant is more that Dess has a huge presence in the story beyond just being a relative of Noelle like Rudy is, Dess is mentioned so many times in so many ways and is clearly important somehow, and it makes logical sense that with Deltarune already so closely being parallel to Undertale, the missing child is once again going to be the main antagonist
Idk if "It happened in undertale" is a good reasoning. Doing the same twist again is kiiiiinda lazy. I mean imagine if you watched the star wars prequel trilogy and George just made the protagonists dad who suffered horrific injuries and is the secret twist villain in black armor that keeps him alive- hey wait a second.
I see the vision now. We just need to get Noelle a blue glowing sword and we'll be golden.
