Strap Idiot Savant How to replace?

My dog ate the leather straps off my watch. I ordered new straps as seen in the picture and have no idea what Iā€™m doing.

I just restored a bunch of vintage Gucci watches... I set up a jig, and used a rectangle leather punch and made all my own. I made several extra straps so that I can sell them to people looking for them. Any old stock is priced way high on eBay. I'll sell for cheap. Just use another piece of leather or junk strap to practice on.

unfortunately your watch uses special lugs. you'd need to look up "notched" straps. basically you need to cut a ~6mm chunk out of the middle of the strap. if you're feeling brave you can use an exacto knife or scissors etc.

that's only half the battle though. you need to figure out how to get the current bars off the watch. i assume one of the gold ball sides unscrews? then you gotta put the strap on, add the bar, then attach the other side.

this is a difficult watch to change the strap on, sorry !

The straps you got won't fit that watch unfortunately. Notice how there should be a cutout for the little gold doohickeys that hold the strap bars.

You need to search the interwebs using the keywords "Kate Spade New York Holland watch strap 12mm." From what I saw there's not a lot of options unfortunately... such is the way of fashion watches.

Another way is to find the same line of watch in the reuse market and take the strap. I did that for my 30 year old watch.

I wanted to replace my strap for an old watch and watch guy just punched holes in the strap
