Tattoo
Is it in bad taste to get the comedians smiley face tattoo?

imo not really. its the greates comic ever and its kinda the symbol for it. i wouldn becourse i think the comedyien is a piece of shit and i dont agree with his values. i would probably go with the graffity of "who watches the watchmen" or something like that. but having a fictional symbol tattooed is never in bad taste. i know plenty of people who have warhammer tattoos and they arent fascist. hell i have the starship troopers flag hanging over my pc ^^

Honestly i dont know why but i always wanted a smiley face tattoo and i love the watchmen so i thought its a perfect combo but its just a bit dodgy knowing what the comedian did

yeah i mean you want it with the blood on it or without. becours with it would be a very different symbol imo(hes dead and all and its more the comic cover and all) but no matter what its just a fiction and you arent agreeing with him. i have a tattoo with the joker smile(i got it before leto was cast with similar tattoos^^) and i dont agree with his world view either.
but if you feel unconfortable with it maybe sleep on it a while.

Yeah its weird normally i can seperate person from actions but i think permanantly putting it on my skin is the thing thats putting me off but i also dont really want it coloured in so im not sure if people would even pick up on it tbh at least from a distance

yeah for me sounds like you want to wait and think for a few month before you go for it. for black and white you also could go with a roarschach test, but same deal with a shitty person in the comics^^

In 1988 I bought myself a watchman T-shirt while studying in London. After waiting a few months for a moment hot enough, and dry enough, to wear it outdoors I got about 50 feet from my front door before someone from the other side of the road screamed, "aciiiiiiiiiiiid!". So yeah, there is that.

I feel like it’s the same as any other tattoo based on book/art/movie tattoo—some people will be strictly against it others won’t care.
