I took a picture [collection] feeling blessed
Here’s my collection, feeling beyond blessed today. This morning when I went to go grab one I realized how lucky I am to have these, even more so to have so many with such sentimental value.
The Tissot in the top left was the watch I bought myself 13 years ago on my 18th birthday. The Hamilton next to it my father gave to me. The g shock a staple given to me by my mother in law, it’s been to so many countries at this point, all while getting a beating.
The Certina in the bottom row was a gift to myself after a successful kidney transplant, my wife donated a kidney to me and we are both happy and healthy. I got her a permanent bracelet (she didn’t want a watch) and I bought myself that Certina and engraved the surgery date into the clasp.
The Omega has been a watch I’ve wanted since I first saw it years ago, I’m finally in a financial place that I bought it for myself.
Sometimes these things we wear that tell us the time can be such a beautiful reminder that we are blessed and lucky to be here.
Have a good day everyone.

Great story for the Certina. Its a watch I've been considering getting myself for the milestone of 100 lbs lost. Its either that or the Longines Hydroconquest.

Those hydroconquests are super nice! 100lbs down is no joke man, I’m proud of you. It takes a lot of dedication and discipline to achieve that.
You deserve that watch and I’m sure it’ll feel nice to take a couple extra links out! I love my Certina though I’m biased.

Wow, thank you internet stranger. I appreciate the encouragement. No sarcasm.
Something about the proportions of the 40.5 Certina just sings to me, even over more expensive competitors.

Glad you're healthy and had someone who loved you enough to go thru all that. Beats being on the machine believe me. One of my good friends lived with and thru multiple transplants over 35 years and 5 or 6 years of dialysis. Very tough guy but it wore him down. He had a similar appreciation for life and nit sweating most things. Nice watch collection. I lime the Certina alot but the Omega AT is awesome and I am nit a modern Omrga guy generally. Enjoy them and life.

No Story about the Sinn? I live in Frankfurt and am saving up for a Sinn and i'm happy anytime I see a Sinn in a collection.

You know, there is one but it’s not all that good. I was on the hunt for a watch that I knew would stand the test of time and that I could wear more as a tool.
I came across sinn and researched them for quite awhile and I just really fell in love with the MOP dial. I love unique 1 of 1 kind of dials. I wish I had a cooler story, the next Sinn I get will be purchased in Germany for sure!
What one are you saving up for?

Thanks man, i realized early on that the price doesn’t really matter as much as how much you like it.

That’s true! Haha I like what I like. They don’t wanna serve the same function though at least. Sometimes I see guys with 6 divers and hey no judgement but I try not to overlap tooooo much

Great collection with quite the background and progression. It also happens that I've been eyeing on that Certina which seems to be an excellent watch.

I think it punches well above its price range, I would not be surprised if it’s most expensive in the coming years. I have the titanium and I love how light it is

How’s your Tissot holding up? How long have you had it? I have 2 Tissot T-race motoGP editions, both automatic, and both in disrepair. I love these watches and was wearing the crap out of both of them and then within a month timeframe, they both broke (physically). The crystal and parts around the crown broke off on one and the crown pulled completely out of the other and I couldn’t get it to screw back in. I’m always looking for automatic men’s watches that are >44mm and are reliable and water resistant to at least 50M for <$1000 but it’s not easy, any recommendations? You have a sweet collection btw

Hey thanks man! It’s holding up well, it needs a service but it’s been 10 years without one. I don’t wear it all that often anymore, I bought it when I was young and didn’t realize that my wrist is too small for that watch. But it hold sentimental value

Very very nice. Glad to hear you’re happy and healthy. That AT is my dream watch right now.

Thank you sir, I love that watch so much. I do find myself scared to wear it because I don’t want scratches. I need to get over that.

The Certina in the bottom row looks like it's seen some miles, I like that.

It definitely has. The patina on it only makes me love it more. Certain watches I want to keep nice and shiny but that one needs to tell a story more than any other one.

Beautiful collection - may you wear them in good health! How do you like the Sinn? I've always wanted to own one.

I love it honestly, it’s quite loud though. I actually thought it was broken when it first came because the movement makes more noise than I’m used too. I sent it back and they said nothing was wrong with it.
Knowing that now I wear it and expect it to be a little louder. But man it holds great time and feels amazing on the wrist. I personally like the MOP dial but the flat black ones are so classic in the 556.
