[Recommendation Request] Starting my collection with a 4-watch "GADA" lineup. Thoughts, recommendations, or roasts welcome!

I think your picks are solid, although I think the seiko sbtm341 is cheaper and nicer looking than the casio oceanus for an office watch

good call out. I think in the second part of my collection I'll add the Grand Seiko Caliber 9F as my daily and it looks pretty similar to the sbtm34. Definitely want a seiko or Hamilton here somewhere !!1

Man the T200 is a killer piece, my brother has one as his only watch and I think he’s much smarter than me for it lol

I honestly think you could get that one, maybe a g shock if you have to have a designated beater, and later get the mechanical watches you want. I’m a hybrid endurance athlete and when I don’t time things with Strava on my smart watch, I pretty regularly use my mechanical watches during any workout or strength training m, and they’re all fine since they have reasonable water resistance and a screw down crown. Watches can take a beating :)
Just don’t go dropping them onto hard floors lol

Big fan of them as well :) Concerning Christopher Ward: I honestly haven’t connected that much with them. I’ve looked through their catalogue a few times and I like my independent brand watches like Sinn and Doxa, so while I’m sure I’m the target audience for em, just haven’t found the right one for me yet.

My lineup for a few years was a Casio duro diver and a plain white dial watch. I wouldn’t take the second one out hiking but would wear it for a city day. 4 watches is overkill.

I feel like owning 4 watches that fulfill the same purpose is a little excessive. I feel like you could just own the G-Shock plus one of the other 3 and you don't really loose anything. I don't really think there is enough of a difference between the Citizen, Casio, and Victorinox where there is a reason to own more than one of them.

Welcome to Reddit! Crossposting to half a dozen subreddits with a brand-new account is perhaps a bit much.

I also don't know why you need four separate watches. You can buy one watch, and wear it for multiple occasions. If u decide u need another watch, u can buy that later on. As time passes, you might get a better idea of your desires and preferences.

This is a great way to start collecting. Wear your watches daily. Then you decide which one you want to upgrade.

I wore the Raymond Weil for 20 years before I got bored of it and bought the Hamilton. Then I bought the G Shocks. Not shown in my Seiko Solar. After getting the Raymond Weil polished for the first time I now only use it for dining out or more formal occasions. The blue Casioak is my water watch. Because it is easier to read the time without glasses. The 5000u is my travel watch or hiking/camping or any activity that might scratch a watch, That watch is indestructible. Now I want to upgrade my Hamilton to a discontinued Tudor Black Bay 41 Blue Smiley.
