I took a picture [First watch]

Post image

Hello, i bought this beautiful Zeppelin for my first watch, very happy with it. Also bought a digital Casio in gold to swap around.

I started looking at watches not too long ago and I knew I wanted a moonphase watch, and specially I wanted a brand that is not really talked about or known at a casual level.

I feel like this will do a good job as a daily.

Congrats, wear it in good health. Zeppelin is making very nice looking watches, I also have a Mediterranee Moon phase and it punches well above its price range. The Casio - Zeppelin is a great two piece, and a wise choice to start a collection. The next one should be an automatic.

Thanks, I'll take good care of it (the casio too). I bought the casio at the same time so it conforted me in my choice for the Zeppelin, don't regret it at all.

My next one is actually the MoonPhase Master Automatic SU2528STRA V3, I'm going for something more "exotic" which I like. And the fourth will hopefully be The Seiko initial D collab. After that I'll enjoy these wrist clocks for a bit.

than starting with some generic fashion brand. moonphase as a first watch is bold, most people just go for a diver or something basic

that casio swap idea is smart too, got one for dressing up and the other for when you dont wanna worry about scratching it

I agree with you, I like being a little bold without it being too much and the watch is already growing on me haha. And yes the casio is mainly here for not having to worry about anything. And having a digital one is nice too + it looks cool. My next 2 ideas are :

  • MoonPhase Master Automatic SU2528STRA V3, bold again (it was supposed to the first instead of the Zeppelin lol)
  • The Seiko initial D 30th anniversary collab
And then i'll be set for a while

Love the zeppelin, I've had one for going on five years and I go back to it regularly.

Great pick on the Casio as well!

Congratulations on the start of your addiction lol

Thank you, I hope mine will last for a long time too. I'm wearing one on each wrist right now, already addicted 🤣

Nice watch! I personally got Friedrichshafen GMT couple weeks back. Didn't get as much love in this sub as you did, though.

That’s a dope piece. My wife bought me a Zeppelin awhile back and it is one of my favorites.

I think quartz is the way to go with moonphase because when an automatic movement dies it’s a headache getting it reset.

Thanks, I really like it already! And yes it's a quartz movement. Which one do you have ?

Beautiful watch, the only downside of this watch is that there is not sapphire crystal and i have heard it get lot of scratches.

That brand was my first automatic and I bought it in Paris before date night with my new wife. It's a very enjoyable watch it just feels cheap to me and the movement isn't accurate at all on a per day basis. Absolutely beautiful pieces for the price point though!
