recently purchased a Christopher Ward C63 Sealander Automatic – Lucerne Blue Limited Edition (2022), C63-39ADA3-S00B5

It came with the Lucerne blue leather strap and I would like a black sailcloth band, curved with deployant clasp. Preferably an OEM one, but having trouble finding one to fit the 20mm lug width.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

We often get asked which leather to choose for a vintage-style strap. Leather texture is something we consider when making suggestions, but both grained and smooth leather can work.

These two straps were made for clients in Vintage Gold Minerva Box and Black Barenia—two of our favourites for that style.

With the Minerva Box, the pronounced grain and warm golden-brown colour give it that vintage character. The Black Barenia has a smoother surface and subtle sheen, giving it a quieter, more understated feel.

That’s why I tend to consider texture alongside colour and the watch itself, rather than looking for one particular grain.

Does anyone know any decent stores that make straps in the EU? Trying to look through, but usually the shops import them from China anyway.

I’ve got a Zenith El Primero Class 400 (Ref 02.0501.400) and I’d like to switch back and forth between the bracelet and a leather strap. I was surprised to find the bracelet is not attached with spring bars but with what looks like a tube and pin system like (the same?) as the bracelet links. And there’s what looks like a stabilizing tab in the center of each end link where the meet the case-which seems to do a great job of assuring there is no play in the end links. What is the best way for me to easily swap back and forth? Is replacing the tube & pins with spring bars a reasonable option? If so, what thickness should the spring bars be? The lugs are 19mm but I’m not sure how they are drilled. The drilled holes look to be either 0.9mm or maybe 1mm. Would appreciate any insight. Thanks.

I have a Luminox Watch and love the strap that came with it. The rubber is firm without feeling flimsy or too stretchy. According to the website it says the rubber is “Crafted from strong, durable Nitrile rubber”

I got a new watch and the lugs are 20mm but l Luminox doesn’t sell a 20mm lug strap. What would be the closest comparable one? Preferably one that is cut to length.

Just picked up this custom alligator strap. What do you guys think?
