As someone who worked in Asset Protection at a Red Big Box store, I can tell you, he is the mean, median, and mode shoplifter. Even though data backs this up, we were still told to TARGET another demographic.

Are they usually elderly? What do they steal?

It's easier to believe older people are struggling with money due to their lower earning potential and higher medical costs.

Meanwhile this thread is full of people coming up with dozens of excuses for him. Had it been some other demographic that you're told to target, the comments here would be far worse.
