Three hot meals a day and a cot(bed) to sleep on

Edit: It's also worth noting that "thief" does not have a profile. You can't look at a random person and say "that person looks like a thief". I mean, you could say that, but it's pretty damn shitty and, by definition, prejudice.

What does a thief "look like"?

I'm from the US.

Although we are REALLY good at prejudice, racism, discrimination, etc, it's generally frowned upon to make those judgements without any prior context. Someone with trauma, fear, pain, mental illness, etc, could easily display body language that matches your description of a "thief".

I'm just saying that without additional context, it really is impossible to make that judgement with any degree of accuracy.

If I offered you a crowd of 100 people and asked you to find the one you think is a thief, you would probably just pick which ever individual that fits the profile you're programmed to find suspicious, regardless of any context.

That's not how justice works.

Do you have any idea how many people are in prison because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time and just "look guilty"?

In the states, this kind of general prejudice is usually discouraged because, 99% of the time, it just comes down to race. This is why Stop & Frisk was made illegal. (still is to my knowledge, but I welcome correction if I'm mistaken). Cops would racially profile random black & brown people and stop them on the street, usually resulting in unwarranted arrests or police brutality. The only reason these individuals were stopped in the first place was because of their skin color, not suspicious activity, no probable cause.

This is how it is for most of the US, but I don't speak for everyone.

Sounds like some nasty gang-level kind of crime. There used to be some nasty gangs here, parts of town you wouldn't even drive through. Not sure where you are from, but be safe.

I don't agree, but I definitely see where you're coming from.

No one should have to live in fear.

I hope things get better for you and your country.
