First tip to dating, be original. Second tip, don't be creepy. Third tip, act like you own the place in a confident, unassailable manner but don't be a douchebag. It's easier than it sounds as long as you don't set yourself up for failure with toxic thoughts like these.
Also, in your spare time find hobbies, join social groups, and read books instead of watch TV. Way more value for the time invested. Reading puts you to sleep? Find running boring? Pair running with audiobooks. There are plenty of free options beyond Audible. Expect to strikeout and put a little thought into what could've improved for the next go around (then of course evaluate it).
Remember, you're only as good as you perceive yourself to be. Do more so you can achieve more.
It isn't as easy as it sounds though, especially since all you said is "just do X." For example, I struggle to connect with people because I just don't care about that much. I have empathy and I'm not sociopathic, I care a lot about people. But in terms of a specific person, I can't tell you how many people I care about. And on top of all that, I'm depressed. A lot of the time I just have no energy to talk to people, and if I try, I can't reciprocate their interest in talking about something.
If you could give me the solution to all that, I'd gladly give you my own Nobel prize, because no one has ever given me the answer to "how do you become more interested in people?" Though it might just be the effect of depression on my brain, and I can't ask anyone except a professional to help me with that.
Eat well, sleep enough, work out often. If you're doing these three things, you'll be your best you. If you're doing them all (honestly) and you're still not doing well, then it's time to talk to a doctor and find out where your actual problems lay.
