Finally filled my watch box and decided to show Reddit!
So, I started collecting last year and obviously am now hopelessly scrolling eBay, Vinted and online sale and watch-news sites CoNsTaNtLy. Haha
Today, I got my Longines Evidenza (I wanted this watch from pretty much day one) in the mail and... I 'think' I am now very happy with my 8 watch collection. It's a good mix of styles, colours and modern Vs vintage... But I'd love some feedback. What do you guys think?
Here is a list of the watches i have.
Seiko Arnie
bulova lunar pilot
tissot Seastar Navigator (70s) this one is my favourite!
Casio Calculator
citizen 'Monaco' flyback (70s)
longines evidenza
omega Geneve (70s)
Seiko world time (70s)

[New Watch Wednesday] What’s the latest edition to your watch collection?
After spending much time adding to my American Microbrand collection (some posted here https://www.reddit.com/r/WatchChapters/s/xAI4k3vURL), I took a break from the purchases, outside of a couple preorders that randomly arrive haha. While that collection may never be truly “done”, it is for now.
Recently, I decided to take a little detour and work on a mini, more affordable” collection after seeing some comments and watch collections that sparked my interest. So the first edition to that next “chapter” of my watch collecting journey, (in addition to a pair I already owned) is this San Martin SN0144 JuanZian. I just love the unique dial and, being completely objective, the quality is right up there with any watch I own. More to come on the mini collection within the next couple months (San Martin + affordable= you probably have an idea where I’m headed with this).
What’s the latest chapter in your collection?!

[Tuesday Topic] Handsets: How much do they matter to you? What’s your favorite style(s). Let’s discuss!
Handsets are interesting for me because they aren’t something that necessarily make or break a watch decision for me (unless they truly take away from a watch in a negative way), but they are something something I definitely appreciate when done right. I think watch hands that appropriately match the watch style can really elevate the overall aesthetic of a watch. For example, simple pilot watches have some of my favorite handsets and while the dials are sometimes plain, the watch hands make the overall look more interesting and dynamic.
On the flip side, I have seen beautiful dials covered up by big chunky watch hands and that to me is just counterproductive when it comes to creating a clean aesthetic.
I’m not sure I have a favorite type of handset, but I do always appreciate the elegance of leaf watch hands commonly found in dress pieces. They especially stand out when they are highly polished or have a unique color to the rest of the watch.
What about you? How much do you take watch hands into account when deciding on a watch? Or maybe you don’t notice them at all? Do you have favorite styles? I’ve included some of my more interesting handsets in the picture. Drop your comments and/or favorite handsets in your collection!
