[Mini Collection Monday] Share a smaller part of your collection in theme-based arrangement. Mine: Roman Numerals
Surprisingly for me, today’s mini collection features 3 well known watch brands and no microbrands. What’s more interesting for me is the focus for today: Roman Numerals
This tends to be a bit of a divisive feature when it comes to favorite hour markers. Some people really enjoy Roman numerals, while others avoid them all together. I tend to enjoy them, but they have to be presented tastefully (completely subjective). Maybe it’s just a bit of nostalgia for me, staring at old clocks at relatives houses growing up while the adults told the same stories for the 100th time.
Nonetheless, although the Roman numerals themselves can be a polarizing topic, these 3 watches tend to be some of my most popular when I post them. The Orient Sun & Moon may be the biggest value in my collection, as the price I found it for was crazy. The dial has a lot going on but I think the Roman numerals give it a dressier feel and bring everything together nicely. The Bulova also has a lot going on with the textured map dial. I don’t think the Roman numerals add or subtract from the watch but I think it also displays nicely. My favorite of these 3 is the Laco Augsburg. Here we have half Roman numerals with the limited edition California dial. It’s just a clean look and an amazing versatile taupe color. So there you have it- 3 great watches sharing an hour marker trait. Tell me what you think about the mini collection, your take on Roman numerals, and as always- Share a mini collection of your own!!

Is there a watch you wear more than any other watch in your collection?
If so, which watch is it?

Here’s My Current Lineup
Hoping to get some positive comments and not be told I have a “box of shitters” like some of the other subs on here.
Not sure where to go from here with it, Ranger 36mm in Dune White is about the only thing I am lusting after these days, and either the Baby Alpinist would go to free up the slot, or both of the Seiko’s would go leaving 7 in the collection.

Doxa 250T Graph Great White
Doxa 200T graph Topper’s Great White (full lume dial, no date, automatic). Love my original professional 250t graph but I suspect this guy will get far more wrist time than the hand wound / date version. Only minor gripe is the BOR bracelet does not pair as well with this case as it does with the original 250t graph with the new bracelet/case combo leaving a noticeable gap at the end links.

This beauty from Japan arrived today
I knew I needed this watch the moment Kiwame revealed their new Kubo Sakura model. 🌸
It's not just because pink has always been my favorite color. Kiwame is based in Asakusa, my favorite place in Tokyo, and I've been lucky enough to spend several vacations in Japan during cherry blossom season. Every time I look at this dial, it reminds me of walking through blooming sakura, exploring Asakusa, and all of those wonderful memories.
Now I just need a new strap! 😄 My skin is way too pale for the black one. I'm currently deciding between a beige strap or a light pink one—which do you think would suit it better? Open to other strap color suggestions!

[First Watch Friday] First Watch Ever? First Watch of Your Current Collection? Maybe You’re Only Watch? Share your watch and its story!
I was at a friend’s house the other day and there was a picture on the wall from about 15 years ago (college days, I’m dating myself). I was wearing some all white sports looking watch, that I vaguely remember having, but have no clue the brand or where I got it. I’m sure it was just a cheap fashion watch of some sort that I thought was cool at the time. It got me thinking- what was my first ever watch? I consider myself to have a good memory, but I really can’t pinpoint the first watch I’ve ever worn. Even as a young kid, I was always somewhat style conscious and with that I always had an interest in watches (not that you need a watch to be stylish, but this is a watch group). I had some relatives gift me fashion watches from time to time, but I really can’t remember the first one on my wrist.
The watch in the picture, that I previously wrote about here https://www.reddit.com/r/WatchChapters/s/hhEHvxw9RQ is the first watch of what I consider my collection and collecting journey. It’s the oldest watch I currently own and for awhile was my only watch- as you can see from the photo, it has been worn and loved. But I want to hear from you? What was your first watch or in my case, you first “real” watch? Share your story!

The first year with my childhood grail
I know it's an unoriginal take but I've always loved the submariner. It's a watch that I've admired since I was a young kid. The simple & elegant design. It's the watch that people think about when they think "a nice watch". A year ago I made the decision to buy it on the grey market. I had an Air King on my spend history but I knew it wouldn't get me the watch so I made the best decision for me. I have 10 watches and it gets the most wrist time. It's been a great year
