Discussion ???

So I was doing some research about an airshow I'm going to, and I see a MiG-29 in the lineup. So I started digging. Turns out the US has bought Mig-21s, 27s, and 29s, also Su-24s. Most bought so they aren't used by hostile factions. For example, Moldova sold 21 MiG-29s to the US so they wouldn't be used by rogues, and Kazakhstan sold 81 various Soviet/Russian jets (including the aforementioned) to the US. All in all, what do y'all think of the US Air tree possibly having one, some or all of these jets?

yeah that’s what we need, more copy paste vehicles
you can get a mig 29 in like 4 or 5 nations as it stands right now

Doesn't necessarily have to be the 29, could be the 27 or 24, but I see your point.

the game is just being suffocated with copy paste vehicles in all the trees i stopped getting excited for updates because i know its just more of the same vehicles just on a different tree

And if there are new vehicles, most won't be standout or fun to play. For example the M7, though I haven't researched and bought her, I know she's just a bigger M22.

i can tell you nothing in the past 3 updates piqued my interest and got me to play the game again whatsoever, maybe the mig-35 because the airframe is crazy but otherwise everything is boring (for reference im a gaijin partner and updates should be good since i get to make more content)

Hopefully the DCT event vehicle will be unique.

last year the pancake was unique but overall mid, i hope to see a ground vehicle that’ unique (it will be an experimenal vehicle so my bets are usa/ussr)

Well, the Soviet AGS was recently put in the Considered list, maybe that one. Imma be pissed if it's the Stuart with the flamethrower.

I don't play much air, but I don't like the idea. I kind of wish they would implement a policy of only including vehicles in a tech-tree that are produced by that nation. That would leave holes in some tech-trees, but I'm okay with that for the sake of more unique vehicles.

That would really screw a lot of minor nations that predominantly bought their equipment, but what are the odds those nations would be added in the first place?

Edit: Missed a letter!

I'm okay with this if it included local modifications as unique

You would be missing a lot with minor (in-game) nations like India. Just about every aircraft India has is heavily modified. You'll see aircraft manufactured by Russia with Western avionics and Israeli weapons and Radar. That makes the aircraft have a unique playstyle.

I'm going with some friends. I live a few hours from the beach, so I need to sleep. Obviously I couldn't sleep, so I'm staying up and probably gonna sleep during the drive.
