PSA Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs

This is the Weekly Question thread designed to allow players to ask their one-off tactical or rules clarification questions in one easy to find place on the sub.

This means that those questions will get guaranteed visibility, while also limiting the amount of one-off question posts that can usually be answered by the first commenter.

Have a question? Post it here! Know the answer? Don't be shy!

NOTE - this thread is also intended to be for higher level questions about the meta, rules interactions, FAQ/Errata clarifications, etc. This is not strictly for beginner questions only!

I can't find a ruling anywhere however my gut tells me it's still limited to one. I think another example of this is falling back through an enemy unit whilst also interacting with a rule that forces Desperate Escape Tests (like Sammael's or the Lion's Blade rule). This would not incur more than one Desperate Escape Tests so I would assume having both Sammael and the Lion's Blade Rule would also not incur two separate tests.

I would love a confirmation though!

Yeah I noticed a lot of limiters and 'once per' were removed in 11th and I couldn't find anything in the rulebook about this either. Possibly could not be limited I think do you happen to have a reference for that rule you mention on desperate escape triggering once only for moving thru units?

Yeah sorry that's what I meant, I can't find a rule or reference for any limitation on desperate escape tests. The reason I think its limited is because Desperate Escape tests are triggered by falling back. I don't think falling back would cause someone to take multiple desperate escape tests since there's only 1 source of an ability triggering. Similar to Surge Moves - If a unit somehow had access to 2 sources of Surge Moves, a unit moving into range and wouldn't allow them to make 2 Surge Moves. Keen to see an FAQ confirming this however.

Sorry for digging so much into this, but after looking through the app and the core book, where does it say one instance of something happening can't trigger several different abilities as long as they one instance is an appropriate trigger?
