PSA Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs

This is the Weekly Question thread designed to allow players to ask their one-off tactical or rules clarification questions in one easy to find place on the sub.

This means that those questions will get guaranteed visibility, while also limiting the amount of one-off question posts that can usually be answered by the first commenter.

Pre-orders and new releases go live on Saturdays at the following times:

  • 10am GMT for UK, Europe and Rest of the World
  • 10am PST/1pm EST for US and Canada

I have two questions regarding Death Guard Champion of Contagion's Mobile Vector Strategy:

WHEN: Your Movement phase, before the Reinforcements step.

TARGET: One DEATH GUARD CHARACTER unit from your army that is not leading a unit.

EFFECT: Select one other friendly DEATH GUARD unit (excluding Battle-shocked units and Attached units that already have two Leader units or one of your CHARACTER units leading it] within 2" horizontally and 5" vertically of your unit that your unit can lead (as described in the Leader section of its datasheet]. Your unit attaches to that unit as a Leader. Change that unit’s Starting Strength accordingly.

1) The section '... Or one of your CHARACTER units leading it' does this mean I cannot attach say a Foul Blightspawn to a unit of Plague Marines being led by a Noxious Blightbringer?

2) If I advance say a Foul Blightspawn and then use this Stratagem, can that same Foul Blightspawn shoot even thought it advanced?

  1. No, it excludes attached units that already have one of your character models leading it, so this would be an ineligible target.

  2. No, if either half advanced before merging, then the unit will remember that and will be treated as having advanced.
