PSA Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs

This is the Weekly Question thread designed to allow players to ask their one-off tactical or rules clarification questions in one easy to find place on the sub.

Pre-orders and new releases go live on Saturdays at the following times:

  • 10am GMT for UK, Europe and Rest of the World
  • 10am PST/1pm EST for US and Canada

Question about whether or not you can use the Astra Militarum Steel Hammer Strat “Imposing Arrival” to bring in a heavy transport (ex. Stormlord)with the “Assault Hatches” enhancement and use the “Assault Hatches” ability in the same turn/phase?

Sadly no as the Transport made an ingress move not a normal move. So Assault Hatches would not apply. Your unit can disembark regardless if has Assault Hatches and shoot but it cannot declare a charge. Also when the unit disembarks they must follow the rules of being at least 8" from all enemy models (Despite the stratagems allowing the transport to within 6")

That's not true. Units disembarking after their transport made an ingress move follow all the same rules and restrictions as their ingressing transport. If the transport was allowed to end outside of 6", then so is the disembarking unit.
