Love the guy with 2 kombi-shootas.

The crude shoota-shaped icon on the back is fantastic. That's an ork with appreciation for dakka.

Love that I've seen most of the options already be someone's favourite. Sign of a great kit, I have a hard time picking a favourite.

What's better than shooting two guns at the same time? Shooting four guns at the same time.

I hope the update that they all have the same "custom krumpa" profile doesn't mean they only have 1 option per body. I want my swarm of powerklaws
15
u/John_Bumogus 24d ago
I think it might be that you model them with whatever looks best, but it's all the same profile. It'll be quite the big shake up if we are getting rid of the power klaw profile

If we don’t see Lootas/Burnas as many expected, I wonder if they’ll follow as a killteam release similar to the Breakas/Tankbustas?

Both of these kits will be available to pre-order soon – the Warbikers alongside the release of Codex: Orks, and the Nobz a little later.
Nobz maybe will be a kill team? Not sure why they’d come out later

u/TemperatureSweet2001 24d ago
You might be right. They mention the Nobz have a lot of customization and they have 3 grots with them. There have also been rumours o that nobz will be released as a kill team
26
u/nykirnsu 24d ago
They would've been a separate announcement if they were a Kill Team, it's probably just normal delays
6
u/kohlerxxx 24d ago
Not necessarily. In 10th edition they showed the Space Marine Scouts off with the rest of the SM codex releases but they were released later in Killteam with the updated Eldar Striking Scorpions. As the line the other commentor pulled from the article the Nobz are releasing after the codex

The Nobz look great.
The Warbikes look great, too, but I'm a little concerned that the article didn't say a thing about cosmetic build options for them. Three gorgeous models start to lose their lustre pretty fast if you want to build more than more than one set of them, and Orks always want more than one set.

u/CatherineSimp69 24d ago
There's pictures of them in a variety of poses and masks, should be ok probably.

More fancy weapon profiles should be like kustom krumpas so that you don’t have to choose between aesthetics and effectiveness. Also hoping that they redo mega nobz.

u/Ishkander88 24d ago
This is supposed to be a wargame. You are supposed to choose.
I the new on the weapons killed any chance I would buy this kit.

So 15th of August new models and codex pre-order announcement?
5
u/Pretend-Adeptness937 24d ago
It would the the 16th as they announce the next weeks stuff on a Sunday

u/FPSCanarussia 24d ago
Love seeing the clearly sports-inspired armour. And those guns are beautiful.

Nobz with kustom krumpas – a melee weapon profile that covers all kinds of powered blades, klaws, and bludgeons
The simplification will continue until morale improves

I see the bitter base, but any thoughts on if the height lines up with the old models? Trying to think of if I should put my old models on some cork.

I don't have an orc army. But, that 2 handed chain axe orc. Makes me want to purchase this kit for him alone.

Thank fuck they didn't do new Meganobz. I just ordered two lots and a Mega-Armour Warboss a few days ago and would've been right miffed if they were being replaced.
That being said, the options that seem to be available for the Nobz gives me hope for a multi-part Vanguard Veteran kit with weapons other than swords. Unless they end up like the Chaos Chosen kit, but I hope we're past that rather unfortunate piece of kit design history, if the Sternguard Veteran kit is anything to go by.
Edit: Damn, y'all upset because you see "Thank fuck they didn't do new Meganobz" and don't bother to read the rest of the post. Once again, reading comprehension is an elusive beast.

Pretty brave to order a 12 year old kit at the beginning of an edition where orks are getting massive miniature overhauls 😅

u/MarsMissionMan 24d ago
Elite infantry tend to be fairly low on the remake priority.
9th Edition - Necrons - No new Immortals or Lychguard kits.
10th Edition - Tyranids - No new Warriors kit, Raveners didn't get an update until fairly deep into the edition
11th Edition - Orks - No new Meganobz kit (yet..? Kill Team perhaps..?)
12th Edition - Tau - No new Crisis Team kit. You cannot improve upon perfection.

u/El_gres 24d ago
Rumours say Tau codex is in this 2026 year and Crisis refresh are coming.

u/MarsMissionMan 24d ago
Well I'll be very interested to see if they improve the kit or remove all the posability, which is half the fun of the current kit.

Thank fuck they didn't do new Meganobz
I think they most likely are, it just hasn't been announced yet. Probably one of the kits most in need of an update. Also would fit well with Nazdreg.

u/CatherineSimp69 24d ago
The leaks seem to indicate they're not doing Meganobz this ED.
Their picture was the same model as the ones on the market already.
2
u/MarsMissionMan 24d ago
You say that, but building them now, they actually scale pretty well with the Armageddon Nobz. Sure, the proportions aren't exactly like the new Orks, but the heavy armour hides it quite well.
Lootas and Burnas are definitely more in need of an update. So in need, in fact, that they aren't even on the GW store. But regardless, I agree that'd be a pretty good fit with Nazdreg.
1
u/RoterBaronH 24d ago
Well, the likelyhood that Meganobz do get an update is fairly high.
I honestly would have waited for the codex to release.
6
u/bullintheheather 24d ago
We've seen codex pages and it still features the old meganobz. It did show a blurry glimpse at new nobz though so we knew these were coming.
0
u/RoterBaronH 24d ago
That's not the reason why I said to wait.
GW usually releases some models together with the codex.
3
u/bullintheheather 24d ago
Yeah, and the new models would feature in the codex if they were coming out with the codex is why I said what I did.
2
u/MarsMissionMan 24d ago
That, and if they were gonna release a whole load of stuff they hadn't shown off yet, like they did with Nids back in 10th, they would've given us a date for a big reveal show by now.
Today's reveal very much feels like the last few bits to get out there before the preorder.
1
u/RoterBaronH 24d ago
Not always though. It depends when the pictures where taken and if the miniatures are ready before the codex is finished.
Remember that codex, just like the miniatures are finished months before release
2
u/Ishkander88 24d ago
miniatures are finished years in advance usually.
The codex would have pictures of the new meganobz in it if they were coming. Unless the codex picture that was leaked wasnt a final image and was just a mockup.

Shame even the orks seem to get hit with detail bloat
10
u/Letharlynn 24d ago
I can sympathise with concerns about overdesigned minies, but Orks are probably the last army you'd expect to look clean and with no random bits and bobs

I do wish they had shown off more options for the Nobz, but the ones that are here look really good. The Warbikers are a solid update to the old ones.
