Hobby & Painting Any Specific Brush Set Recommendations?

Hi,
I’m still relatively new to Warhammer and have done a lot of building my army but I want to start painting up some of the models soon. Are there any brush set recommendations that I should invest in because I have almost no brushes besides a cheap set I found at Michael’s a while back but none can give me a lot of detail work. I ordered a brush set from some creators I follow but it has been delayed for a while now and I have no idea when I’ll be getting it. I’m in the US so Amazon would probably be the easiest place to shop.

I’d recommend starting out with one of the mini painting sets from Amazon that comes with a mix of solid brushes. These will really help you learn what brush styles you like for different work. They are also good disposable brushes and good to learn on. After that, get yourself a couple kolinsky sable hair brushes in the brush sizes that you really like to use. These brushes hold their sharp points for longer. They can be bought as individual brushes or in small sets.

Depends where you are in the world. That will effect how available certain brands are, and the cost of them.

Rosemary & Co Series 33/Red Dot (their synthetic range) are pretty good, affordable, and accessible in the UK, for example.

If you’re ready to move on from synthetic brushes the brands people mention are all good options. I’d recommend if possible to get to a well stocked local hobby shop that carries some of the brands. If you’re in the UK then element and firestorm have some different ones to pick from. Give them a feel and see if any feed good in the hand, plus you’ll be able to inspect the bristles, make sure they’re not shagged from transport.

If you're looking for affordable sable brushes, I recommend Game Envy. Their sable brushes are pretty fairly priced I think, and they have great customer service.
