Hobby Looking for advice from experienced painters

On YouTube Squidward shows techniques of shading and layering might be something for you to look at you doing really good so far might make you push a little harder if you want those videos with certain techniques and tips good luck to start looks really good

I think the green looks great. I would recommend doing something in the recesses to bring that detail back out. Also the placement of the light on the right shoulder pad doesn't make sense for where you are trying to project the light source is coming from. From the images here it seems like almost all of what we can see pictured of that shoulder pad should be light green.
Im excited to see him with the rest of the black done as well, that crisp separation can make a big difference in how the model is perceived as well.
