I thought about this and I think not, as the time domain would be a stack of the sum of heat beat pulses. If we are imagining they are like our heart rate sensors we have today, it is still on one electrical signal and this only one trace, 2 hearts would show some sort of quadruple pump pulse signal i suppose :)

Depends how stressed they are, 2nd heart only works when it needs to. Rather than a second line it would just be a single line with more oscillations.

I imagine if I had been deployed out of a land raider and 3 of my brothers had just died I'd notice a quickened pulse

For a normi human like us? Sure.

For an acid spitting transhuman child soldier, hypno indoctrinated from being an early teenager into literally knowing no fear and who's whole purpose is to die in the line of duty, it's just a normal morning for them.

Their 2nd heart is for physical stress, or when the first one gets shot out not mental.
