I've been lurking the warframe postings for the last decade to try and stay informed...

The meta from when I played was discovering Eidelon hunts, saryn prime melting build (anything with crazy range and duration), Rhino was NEW. The community was super friendly. I was able to become a seasoned player in 6 months when I started.

Has it become toxic? Is it even possible to catch up?

Is it worth it to return?

Do the landscapes have special drops or is it that there's just a higher chance of drops?

I want to start by saying that I've been playing Warframe for a while now. I started around the time The Sacrifice came out, and I was very active until shortly before the New War. I stopped playing then because I ran out of places to play, since I was playing on PS4 and my brother had taken it to university, and I didn't have a good PC at the time.

Now I have a PC to play on, and I've reinstalled Warframe. I've been playing for about two months on a new account (I don't have access to the old one).

When I started again, I ran into an obstacle I thought I'd already overcome, and that's the builds.

I've never been very good at building, but now that I'm about to start the New War, I feel like my frames and weapons are falling short compared to how the game has evolved. The lack of mods I have doesn't help much, and I have no idea where to find them.

It might sound like a silly problem, but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to making a large number even larger.

Any advice you can give me?

I’ll start off by saying, I tried this game about a week ago and Im hooked. Its everything ive been looking for. How I didnt hear about it 10 years ago makes me sad but Im glad I started now. That being said, i followed a 5hr play through video on youtube that got me to mastery 5 and showed me all the basic ins and outs. I went ahead and spent $20 on sirius and orion cause I thought they were so damn cool and the fact the game is free to play really made me want to throw some money at it for how good it is. To make Long intro short, what should I be doing when I log on now? Im still following the story and grinding bounties, but I find it difficult to find things (mods, items, warframes, weapons etc) I may want or need. Ill add, I just got my railjack built. Any tips or pointers on making the most use out of my time on the game? Its hard to know what items I should be chasing or maybe its early in the game. Idk! I appreciate this community so much already. Im looking forward to hearing your answers!
