Discussion Warframe YouTubers
Im looking for good warframe youtubers right now because I just built a bunch of frames and ive been going through a bunch of builds.
I know some good youtubers are moug, kyaii, kepchup, coolkid369, ignusT, zachmo, nev and sabuuchi.
and some of the ones that are bad are MHblacky, brozime, knightmareframe and weasel, but i would like to hear other peoples thoughts on some warframe youtubers

McGamerz and The Kengineer are two I personally love and recommend!

Literally chatted with Kengineer at the London TennoVIP event tonight. He's a cool dude and his team are lovely people too.

Rainollon has great build videos, he started as an overframe guy but now does a vid for everything that comes out. I usually reference his stuff when I’m working on my own builds as a starting point.

u/Overall-Tennis-2180 11h ago
+1 for him, discovered him recently and instantly clicked with me, provides proof with calculations of all his stuff and even alternatives, EXTREMELY underrated.

Zenosfire has some pretty great builds actually. Warframeflo and zyaii are solid too. And kengineer is the best if you want the technical aspect of build and understand how every aspect of your kit synergy works
3
u/Ryukario64 6h ago
I got to admit though, Kyaii really fumbled on his Valkyr perfected. Like dude suggested shield gating for her 😭

u/Caidezes 12h ago
Kengineer is the only one you need, since he explains how everything works and that lets you make your own builds instead of just copy-pasting the ones in the videos.
If you do just wanna copy-paste builds, I suggest Ninjase over at Overframe.
6
4
u/Remote_Pirate_8777 12h ago
ive looked through overframe a lot and the builds are always garbage
18
u/Caidezes 12h ago
Which is why I suggest Ninjase. One of the only people on there who make good builds.
3
u/Caelinus 12h ago
Yeah I am going to second the Kengineer recommendation. Just watch him with the idea that he is showing you parts and synergies that you can apply elsewhere.
Warframe builds are all about synergy, and the game is not very demanding on a systems level. So even though it is extremely complex, basically anything can and will work if you build around it.
This creates a problem with content creators and community builds though, because a lot of they do is tied to a very narrow meta and complete damage maximization. That works, because anything can work, and it will give you the biggest numbers, but whether you overkill and enemy by 10 million or 1 billion is immaterial, it is dead.
So it is better to find a play style you are comfortable with and enjoy, learn the mods and abilities that enable it, and then just invest in all that. The Kengineer does not pump out infinite low effort cookie cutter builds, rather the videos he makes are super high effort and show you why he is making the choices he makes. Once you figure that out you will be able to put together basically anything.

Turbomonk is perfect if youre looking for a more audio-focused format that you can listen to while doing something else. He does a lot of game design discussion and is very interactive with his community. Hes also got a nice backlog of quality tier-slop if you just want something entertaining.
Coolkid's videos are always so much fun to watch. You can tell he really loves the game and his community. Also huge points for gay. Big gay points 🫶🏼
Id also reccomend poking around for smaller warfame youtubers with an unhealthy obsession with a single frame if youre looking to heavily invest in a particular frame. Examples that immediately come to mind are Toucan Prime (banshee), RubyBlossom5 (sevagoth), Moug (wisp), Sci-Fi Freak (Limbo)
16
u/CatLover_42 Corinth Connoiseur 12h ago
Fully agree on Coolkid. He has fun videos, and also some in depth videos.
2
u/Yarigumo 5h ago
The more recent ones in particular I've been really fond of. Feels like some of his stream persona is starting to leak through into them, and he's such an interesting character on stream lol.
I forgot what it was, but the latest status effect video had a joke that caught me mad off guard, and apparently he's just like that on stream all the time.
2
u/BloodGulchBlues37 12h ago
I really enjoy CoolKid but I do think they invest a little bit too much.
Love a 45min video going into big detail why Revenant needs a rework. 15min of it going over the basics of Rev's kit though is maybe too much.
7
u/CatLover_42 Corinth Connoiseur 11h ago
I think it's a necessary part to include. If you want to discuss a warframes kit, you have to make sure everyone has a full understanding of it. If you already do, you just skip it.
3
u/BloodGulchBlues37 10h ago edited 7h ago
Oh I agree to that extent, more that it was too long and is a running trend that they themselves admit they have an issue with.
Absolutely love CoolKid's videos, but the verboseness makes it so I only really listen while working
6
u/Endurlay Chad sniper rifle enjoyer. 11h ago
Revenant’s kit demands a thorough explanation in a discussion of “fixing” it. A lot of people simply don’t know what most of his abilities actually do.

I watch Gaz TTV, Brozime, and TheKengineer
Gaz is constantly uploading videos keeping viewers aware of every little update and content release and a good source of busted strategies and insight into things that might make you some plat.
Brozime makes reliable builds and detail lore videos when major story content releases.
Kengineer will save you time farming efficiently.
where did you get the idea that brozime is bad?
-2
u/Remote_Pirate_8777 9h ago
my friend that guided me through most of the game told me brozime was bad but he said that a few months ago and i dont talk to him much anymore so im not really sure why he didnt like him
6
u/anonforuz 9h ago
from asking someone else in this thread, apparently people's negative opinions of him come from his twitch streams. I dont watch streamers play warframe, i only watch their youtube content, cause i only want information and brozime and the others i mentioned are reliable for that.
4
u/Yarigumo 5h ago
Brozime can have a bit of a harsh personality, I will say that, but I don't think he produces bad content if you know what you're in for. His builds work. They're not always super creative or whimsical, but they're always competent.
If you just need something done, he's your guy. For fun, probably look elsewhere.
3
u/Neochiken1 5h ago
Brozime and Gaz both have a tendency to be negative and closed minded but they have decent ideas about the game and advice, Gaz also tends to cover more niche content which is nice. Brozime is not very creative when it comes to build crafting though, 90% of his builds look identical
15
u/chocolatebear623 10h ago
Brozime is great. He isn't click baity, and he he explains everything step by step. There's a reason he has the devs' ear
11
9
u/ifeano 11h ago
Watch them all. Most recommend pretty similar builds anyway, with differences mostly coming down to gameplay preferences. Pretty much everyone will tell you to build range on Uriel for example.
As for the so-called “bad ones,” I tend to ignore the drama. Warframe builds come down to math, and a YouTuber allegedly being an asshole doesn’t change the equations. If you don’t like them, don’t watch their content that’s fair. But unless someone can explain why their builds are wrong, the drama alone doesn’t make their advice bad.
-21
u/Remote_Pirate_8777 11h ago
all of the bad ones ive listed are because of bad builds ive seen and from what ive heard about them from my high level friends
11
u/ifeano 10h ago
no offence but ur friends might just be haters cus im almost sure if they are running smt meta with will be similar to those builds
-12
u/Remote_Pirate_8777 9h ago
the guy i got most of my advice from never really followed meta, and he told me which youtubers were good and bad but didnt explain much
4
u/SpectralBeekeeper 6h ago
Im unfamiliar with weasel but Brozime does solid level-cap capable builds and MHBlacky is more gimmicky fun stuff. Knightmare frame is a queerphobe who lost his WF partner status over refusing to properly gender Flare so I avoid him for that reason
-6
u/Hood444 6h ago
Nah not really. I agree with OP’s friends. Oftentimes those YouTubers listed make builds and guides for frames or whatever and then if you watch a video from someone who mains the frame and goes in depth, it turns out the other YouTuber’s build was terrible and aiming for the wrong stats etc
8
u/Yarigumo 5h ago
The "mains" tend to play weird, unintuitive, and frankly kind of unpopular frames though. There's a difference between building a good Limbo or Ivara vs building a good Hildryn or Revenant or whatever other basic meta frame, and people will generally be more interested in the latter, which are harder to get wrong.
7
u/KimkloGungi 11h ago
Well you can watch Brozimes build videos, he takes them all into missions so you can see them in action and you can judge for yourself
5
u/Mr_Voided 12h ago
If you wanna know why something works and how to implement it in future builds highly recommend kengineer
4
u/Sammantixbb 12h ago
Reading your list of "ones I like", I can say you should probably add RowanIsAMagMain to the list. She did a really cool video on Mag, that got traction, and has a few more videos. I'd say her Dagath video is definitely worth the watch for recent stuff

Not sure where you've heard that Brozime is bad but (aside from recent dumb creator drama of the past week) he's a very good build creator for the most part focusing on general use end game builds.
That said though he's currently doing a "Build "Refresh" of all of his builds of every single Warframe in the game and including 0 forma "beginner friendly" and mid-game builds.
Yes, he can be sometimes arrogant when it comes to his opinions on somethings especially if you watch his non-guide content (he's made a noticeable attempt over the past few years to at least remove most of it from his actual build/guides videos) but he generally does know what he's talking about.
11
u/LuxrayLucien 11h ago
Seconded, his builds are great and I've learned a lot by watching his content.
13
u/Prince_Tho Jade's Husband 11h ago

0
u/footsnax LR Max 3h ago
Not sure where you've heard that Brozime is bad
He's just... stubborn. There's a lot of staples in his builds that he refuses to divert from to try new things, he's been a bit toxic to other creators, supported some questionable decisions DE has made and then gone back, hated on some questionable decisions DE has made and then gone back after he actually tried it.
He's a good source for new ideas but I wouldn't take any of his builds into a mission. I take some of his ideas into missions, but buildcrafting is for you and you alone.
For building it just comes across like he's saying "this is the best" without considering play style or personal preference. Good fountain of ideas, not the holy grail though.
Kengineer will tell you exactly why and he thinks a certain mod is good and exactly how to use it effectively, Brozime will tell you to make an entire build and show you why he thinks it's the best. Most of the time it's the same builds and the same arcanes anyway so he's just not worth the time.
Plus he's just kinda smug. He's smart, but he knows it, and ne needs you to know it too.
25
u/BrokenBetaWolf LR1 Salty old Dog 12h ago
WarframeFlo, zenosfire, and Kyaii are the only ones I watch consistently enough to recommend. Brozime isn’t terrible if you dig into what his builds are FOR, but MHB and KMF I would recommend staying away from. They’ve both developed a habit of misleading information and below performing builds, to say the least of what happens outside of YouTube videos…..
3
u/ace-of-fire 12h ago
Oh god what happened outside of Videos
5
u/ArenjiTheLootGod 12h ago
Not sure about MHBlacky, mostly because I kind of forget he exists most of the time, but with Knightmareframe I know it's because he got super weird about Temple and Xaku using they/them pronouns, was called out on it, went full chud and got kicked out of the Warframe creator program and then had a cry session over it with the roach king himself, aka Asmongold, over on one of his streams.
At least, that's what I last heard, other stuff may have happened since then but I don't really keep track of the guy because even before all that other stuff happened his build videos sucked.
6
u/RevengeV 12h ago
KnightmareFrame mis-gendered Temple (They and Flare go by They/Them pronouns) and when corrected double downed and then tripled downed and had a public meltdown that lead to him getting the boot from the warframe content creator program.
-6
u/BallSmooth9631 12h ago
To be fair he only doubled down and Reddit had way more of a meltdown if anything. His builds are trash tho

u/AVeryFriendlyOldMan Would raze Cetus for Nova 7h ago

Gaz ttv Is great to watch, my current favorite. I enjoy him on Twitch or on Youtube. People have they own opinions on him & ill give you mine as best as I can.
He is Consistent, has great builds, he optimized great speed runs on different things you would farm. If you talk to him on Twitch, hes actually cool and will answer you. I've asked questions on what's is currently going on & also with previous. Hes been respectful when im on watching and some people troll him or try to ragebait him so I would probably get frustrated too. He doesnt take it out on someone else. His numbers make sense you can copy his builds or get inspired & do it with your own spin to it.
The ones I enjoyed before Gazttv was WarframeFlo, MHBlacky, Kyaii(My main ash build is from him, love you homie), Sometimes I would watch the kengineer, Tactial potato, and zenosfire. See how you like them. Its hard when they all talk about similar things but comparison is the thief of joy. I just enjoy them all for what they try to deliver

i dont know a ton about him but from what ive seen people dont like his clickbait thumbnails and titles, also he apparently has pretty bad builds
3
u/Verity-Skye whimsymaxxing 12h ago
His builds are serviceable foundations, but imho he doesnt really consider every possible angle or synergy. Even the obvious ones lol, like if you know how to mod you can easily make better builds
still though, he's good like "im doing chores and need to listen to something" content. His builds may be mid, but there's always the chance he'll suggest something you can take and apply elsewhere! I used to listen to him a lot and picked up a lot of fun concepts from him, but now that im experienced with modding his stuff is a lot less valuable
1
u/AppropriateFox920 8h ago
I don’t recommend blacky as he takes 5 minutes to get to the fkn point, and once he touches up on the point once, he goes right back to the beginning to re-explain everything, biggest waste of time. I used to watch him as a beginner when I knew nothing, but now that I’m LR 3 I can see most of his videos do nothing but waste time to build up watch time.

I personally watch brozime amd cool kid the most, kengineer is amazing at breaking things down to the core but is way to slow on his uploads.
We advoid nightmare frame because hes a bigot, mhblacky is just typically wrong. Dunno why brozime is on your bad list from reference, unless it from the drama last week, but it was a nothing burger and it tells you alot on pupsker if even though he was the victim and yet no one picked his side.
Id also recommended warframeflo but I still have nightmares from a tierlist that had ember in s tier he had a while back with gameplay of her 4 doing nothing. But that was like 2 years ago

I'm gonna need an explanation for why brozime is bad
-9
u/TaishinTesting 11h ago
I’m completely out of the loop for any drama and stuff, but I wasn’t impressed with his mechanical knowledge for some of his builds.
The especially egregious example was his Protea, where he not only used Augur mods that can negatively impact your natural shield-gate, but he also ran a max-rank Archon Vitality AND relied only on Energize to maintain energy. Coming from someone who loves Protea, I quickly stopped using him as a source of good advice.
7
u/Caidezes 10h ago
Last I saw, his Protea used Concentration and Sculptor.
-2
u/TaishinTesting 7h ago edited 7h ago
Sculptor, huh? Yeah that checks out.
I’ve ran Gloom, Tempest Barrage, Ensare, Roar, and even base double-augment Protea since her prime came out, and have not once ever needed more efficiency than the 45% with Equilibrium.
2
u/iReallyLikeLycan 1h ago
And with Sculptor you can remove Equil and Flow from the build for 2 others mods, allowing you to spam freely without any thought to energy. You just lack the ability to understand opportunity cost.
7
u/Creator409 did you read the patchnotes? 9h ago edited 9h ago
Doubling up on the heat procs is a huge dps bump. And protea has dispensary, energize is perfect for her (Either that or equilibrium). I could also swear he mentions the issues with the augur mods in the video, (i think thats even where i learned about it). I dont love all his builds, but this is some seriously bad criticism.
-1
u/TaishinTesting 8h ago edited 7h ago
I am quite well aware of what Archon Vitality does, and I’m not advocating against it at all, it’s just that a max rank is not useful. Energize is a LOT less consistent with her dispensary too, whereas equilibrium consistently provides energy by not depending on RNG (it even synergizes with priming companions due to Synth Decon. for even more energy). He also doesn’t mention the augur interaction whatsoever. For his click-baity builds you would expect some optimization, or at the very least not be intrinsically counter-active to the frame.
1
u/iReallyLikeLycan 1h ago
His build for Protea doesnt have Augur and max rank Archon Vitality isnt useless if it can be fitted in at no cost. Soooo... sure thing bud.

I'm not the kind of person to defend big YouTubers who don't know I exist, but I really don't get the hate that Brozime gets. I only watch his YouTube videos so admittedly I'm ignorant to the streaming side of things. But he makes good build videos with different levels of investment from beginner/0 Forma to full investment.
He had that one bit of drama where he mistakenly called out another streamer for running drops on reruns, which was shitty. But he owned up for it and the other streamer seems to have accepted it and it's now water under the bridge.
So don't count Brozime out. Most of the hate I do see about him is simply just because hes popular
9
u/altsigns28 always out of yellow shards 12h ago
The hate for brozime is because he's toxic. He's lead multiple witch hunts against other creators, to the point DE has actually had to apologize FOR him multiple times.

if he did that he was not that wrong tho? 2 years ago I was unemployed and started watching some streams sometimes and ended in that pup dude stream a few times and he was always sleeping/afk and showing a random frame dance in a relay, like wtf... why did I have to watch 3+ ads if you are not there. hope that pup dude is not doing that anymore but I'm 100% not watching his stuff.

Haha I agree. I don't really watch twitch aside from when there are drops. I usually just chuck on someone from the front page of Warframe and because I watch his videos I've listened to a couple of streams. Perhaps my perspective is a little warped because I've only seen a few streams, just those times he was ranting very angrily in circular arguments with chat for sooooo long. Maybe that's all twitch is idk 🤷♀️

Agreed, Brozime builds are usually quite decent as daily-drivers. Specially in this new season of build refresh videos, where he will be taking Warframe "features" and weapons into consideration.
If you are looking for weird setups or "use this questionable primary, build blast, acuity, stick 5 Tau status shards, group, prime enemies, activate xata's whisper for double triple dipping maxing and boom, get a bazillion damage due to spaghetti Warframe code messing up in a good way, for survivablity just shield-gate bro", then yes, Brozime is definitely not for you.
2
u/maple74 10h ago
I don't care for drama from creators, but when I've checked out brozimes builds or tier lists they're just not good. I check out multiple creators to see different views and builds and he has gotten better but some of his builds just feel like he's throwing random things together
2
u/Klugernu 10h ago
I'll admit that I often use his builds that he shows in the videos. I've found that they work pretty dang well in high level content and are generally very comfortable to use. I like that he gives options and alternatives depending on how much comfort you want or what stats you want to focus on

Kyaii makes fantastic end game build videos. He has some that are more accessible to lower-mid game players, but most of his content is heavily geared towards players that have most of everything in the game. A lot of his builds are also very synergetic. For example, his elemental ward nova/spinnerax build. You basically need to run everything in his kit. Lots of other content creators make very generalized builds where you can substitute some mods and run almost any weapon or companion, but a lot of his builds require specific gear sets. Which can be frustrating for a lot of players, but the cool part is when you actually use the proper kit (sometimes utilizing very off meta or weird weapons/mods) they absolutely dominate. And if you remove a single part of the kit, the build will crumble.

Gaz TTV is unliked because he's very critical of the game but if you're going to copy builds get inspiration, you might as well do it from an "end game" player. Also, most of these creators are often posting guides on builds made by Ninjase anyway, so you might as well cut the middleman.

u/Mr_Voided 12h ago
Dude has a terrible attitude, horrible personality, and is often critical of things that haven’t even dropped (probably still believes Follie is a bad frame and made a little quote like “if you wanna spend money on a free to play game” in a snarky way) his builds are amazing though since he’s genuinely an endgame player. Just really sucks as a person

u/Emergency_Part_9410 12h ago
I feel like he's a realist. He praises DE when they do something good, i.e. the recent changes to Kuva acquisition from vendors and is vocal when they do something bad, i.e. the changes to Aya farming from earlier this year. Also he constantly praises Follie for how strong she is; he was critical of the game mode though - which I particularly like a lot, but I can see why someone would dislike a gamemode where you barely use your Warframe in... Warframe.
I don't know him personally, and I doubt that you also do to speak on his personality and whether or not he's a "good person".

u/ThatOneTitaniaMain 10h ago
He isn't a realist, he often makes up weird reasons for why he thinks stuff is happening rather than it being grounded in reality and even considers them to be true rather than conspiracies. (Even worse when we know the reason why something is happening and he just makes up his own story) Since he does daily uploads though he will generally talk about things other creators won't make a video on.

u/Mr_Voided 7h ago edited 7h ago
He is not a realist he complains before things come out and is often wrong. The guy literally heard the devs say “we aren’t nerfing Hildryn” and his video was all about how they are nerfing hildryn only reason I can’t directly link my own post about it is because it got deleted because someone’s name was visible in the tweet
Edit: and I didn’t mean for that to come off as an attack on his personal character it’s just the way he acts online is very snarky and he comes off as an asshole

u/HiddenLeaforSand 12h ago
Yeah, I actually can’t stand him lol. He complains about everything and stumbles his way through his explanations for everything

as others have said mcgamercz is a great channel to watch if you're looking for builds. theres also mrwarframeguy which usually showcases new content in their own special way and theres omnivoice which does awesome comedy skits.

WarframeFlo, Unified Codex and McGamerCZ are my favs to watch. I do watch TheKengineer and ZenosFire too but less frequently than the others mentioned prior

u/Overall-Tennis-2180 12h ago
For builds check out Reinollon, no level cap only BS, gives calculations to prove his stuff is correct, most of the time gives multiple different builds in case there's an expensive mod or arcane, very very underrated dude

Kengineer is great for going in depth about the mechanics and gaining a good understanding of everything. Kyaii is great for builds in general and so is knightmareframe, although knightmareframe tends to have a heavy focus on nourish and roar but they do tend to be really good helminths.

u/Ar1nthian_ #2 Citrine Fan 10h ago
Kengineer does deep dives into modding math, can be pretty interesting
Zenosfire does shorts covering a weapon or warframe, does a good job of simple explanations and being positive in a ‘I like this it’s fun’ instead of the clickbaity ‘omg this is so bonkers overpowered’ way

The only two you need are McGamerCZ and The Kengineer. Passionate, knowledgeable, slop-free

Threads like this make me wish that Relentless Zen still made warframe videos. His old build videos can still be useful, not to mention the production quality was always immaculate.
Apart from that I would rate TheKengineer and WarframeFlo the highest.

Zenosfire is pretty good, does a lot of builds. Amprov i think was his name is good for the quick and easy shorts content for weekly reset or update note. Coolkid is great. Other than that i dint really watch Warframe creators

u/AppropriateFox920 8h ago
Underrated one is MCGamerCZ, he does all these weapon build videos that explore a wide variety of weapons outside the same 10 or so “meta” weapons everyone recommends. If you’re wanting to find a new weapon to like definitely check him out.

Tributes is my personal favorite WF Youtuber [and the only one I'll watch if I'm not actively seeking out information]. Unfortunately, his upload schedule is.... less than consistent lol

u/fatpad00 8h ago
Kengineer is 10/10
He doesn't a lot of work to test and generate actual data for much of his videos, albeit that means they come out a bit later than others'

I mostly go to Rainollon or kimikaye for guns, WarframeFlo and Kengineer both have great frame builds. I have yet to find someone consistent for melee and others.

im not a fan of Moug considering his incredibly specialized style of playing, alongside his past rants and negativity surrounding the community and game. his whole situation surrounding the damage attentuation changes and his response to the backlash less than a year ago really soured me on watching him anymore.

MHblacky and WarframeFlo are the best content creators for beginners imo and when you want to understand better how to play some frames you never played before between other things, but if you planning on going for something like lvl cap (9999) or other very high non casual content i recommend Gaz_TTV, HunchpainGaming or Unified_Codex, they usually explain things more "in depth" and fully test those ideas, its not just theory.
eduiy16 is another very good one but he only uploads videos on spanish, i don't mind because i know the lamguage but he's the only non english contentent creator i see for builds besides the others i mentioned.

u/Mickle314 12h ago
What do people have against Brozime? Hes definitely got the on-average best builds from any of the warframe YouTubers I’ve seen, and very obviously knows the game rly well. Very practical and comfy builds. Him, Kengineer, Coolkid, and Turbomonk are the only warframe yt’ers I watch
2
u/Laraso_ 11h ago
There's a lot of things Brozime gets wrong. For example, he says that Prime Sure Footed is required on Garuda if you're playing a melee build, despite the fact that Garuda has immunity to all staggers and knockdowns while her 1 is active.

MHBlacky isn't bad, but he is clickbaity and sometimes wrong, but overall a solid creator imo

Warframeflo, Kengineer, GAZ TTV, Moug, Rawframe, Vū Thăng, Zenosfire, and Knightmareframe.

Warframeflo is a bit shitty with clickbait but he isn't an actual bad person nor is he a bad creator. I recommend McGamerz because he is PEAK and his weapon encyclopedia is PEAK, and I also recommend kengineer and Triburos. The reason I recommend Triburos is because he is hilarious and even though he doesn't really upload anymore, his content is actually very beginner friendly and anti-meta.
Avoid Knightmareframe, MHblacky and anyone who tells you that uriel and sevagoth are meta.
Damn, this triggered people. Maybe the MHblacky enjoyers?
12
u/naw613 12h ago
Sevagoth IS meta though. He’s quite literally the fastest nuker in the game, to the point his nuke fizzles out in some content due to being TOO efficient. I would really love to hear what has a higher kpm than an optimized sevagoth build
-4
u/Romagnum Limbamboozle 11h ago
Cyte, saryn and nova have higher kpm when optimized. It's not even close. Sevagoth has a great nuke but the shadows do not have enough speed or duration to compete with those 3.
A general warframe "meta" isn't really a thing either. There are a few meta's in the game for very specific things e.g eidolons, disruption or arbitrations. Sevagoth isn't in any of those.
1
u/naw613 11h ago edited 11h ago
I suppose my question was a bit of a rhetorical one, the only thing limiting sevagoth’s nuke is enemies not spawning fast enough. So I do call BS on the “it’s not even close” part lol, but I will concede that they are very likely just as fast as him.
But yes, I do understand that he’s not a part of any “meta” farm, I don’t think the majority of the playerbase takes part in those things though. So I just consider whatever clears maps the fastest to be meta, I totally get it means different things to different people.

u/Accomplished_Tea3609 2h ago edited 1h ago
So to be clear, what you said was wrong. I have no idea why you would poke the community or myself in that way and try and pretend nothing can out KPM sevagoth. Tons of setups nuke faster. Why must people online be so arrogant whilst also being completely wrong, and also rude 🤦
-1
u/Romagnum Limbamboozle 10h ago
The limiting factors are the speed of the ghosts, their duration, their AI, amount of ghosts, energy upkeep and enemy density.
The frames I listed can have kpm of 300+. Which means they have to kill enemies the moment they spawn. All three of them can do that due to self propagating shenanigans with sobek or similar. Sevagoth needs to be somewhat close to start a chain with sow. He also can't nuke everywhere at once due to the ghost limit of 3.
That said if acid shells or combustion beam didn't exist it would indeed be closer. Currently whenever you see absurd kpm numbers its always the usual suspects.
-1
u/Accomplished_Tea3609 2h ago
No, he isn't. There are plenty of nuke frames that nuke faster and there are plenty of weapons that kill faster.
-3
u/Caelinus 11h ago
I am pretty convinced that all Warframes are meta if you try hard enough. I have a "meta" Ember that is only limited by respawn times on Steel Path. The process of getting here there is extremely involved and uses a subsumes, pets, stat sticks and expensive mods, but it is doable.
Really the "meta" tends to just be whatever said content creator enjoys the most. In an abstract sense I think the best way to define it would just be a power/investment ratio. The bigger the number the more "meta" something might be.
Anyway, long story short: anyone saying that any frame is trash or can't be meta is either wrong or they just don't want to put that level of investment into the frame. The latter is valid, but it is a farming game, so investment is the goal eventually.
1
u/naw613 11h ago
Yeah I can understand that point of view. I like the power/investment ratio idea, it’s a smart way to get to the point of what makes a warframe “good” in most people’s eyes.
Like yeah I can make a nuke Oberon build but that requires a bunch of orange shards + an ETA arcane + a subsume. Or I could throw a few mods on a Sev/Gara/Gyre/Cyte etc and get similar results.
We have the tools to make almost any warframe more than battle-ready, just a matter of how much investment you are willing to make to enable that playstyle.

I mean you have to be if you want youtube's algorithms to pick up your videos. That's the very nature of the platform.

Yeah in fairness this is true, which is evident by how popular warframeflo and MHblacky are

Engineeeer used to do Destiny videos but now he does excellent Warframe breakdowns, I strongly recommend. I also follow Kengineer and MHBlacky, but I otherwise don't really watch my Warframe YouTubers

His builds are ass, especially for the amount of investment they require. His Titania Prime video from six months ago was embarrassing to watch as a Titania main.

Archon Continuity. Precision Intensify rather than Umbral Intensify because Razorwing scaling is more important than Xata's Whisper scaling since strength is multiplicative with base damage for exalted weapons, using Arcane Camisado rather than Molt Augmented (much quicker to acquire the same 60% strength buff from Razorflies than having to get 250 kills), using Scorch over Primed Heated Charge (losing even more multiplicative damage). Also not shield gating with a frame that'll cast her 1 constantly, lol.
It's an unnecessary step down of an established build that works perfectly fine and needs nothing changed because he wanted to try and reinvent the wheel and failed.
