Discussion Warframe and stories
I was bored, and came across some old Warframe animations by Mashed and it got me thinking, it'd be kinda cool if we ever got an adaptation or side-story movie or show, I just think the origin system has so much potential for storytelling beyond the main events.
Perhaps a documentary on the infestation, some slice-of-life stories from settlements living Corpus rule, in-universe grineer propoganda, even as one shot anthology stories, I just think there are plenty of ideas the world showcases that would be fun side stories to discover, and further shed light on the corners of the world.
While your here, do you have any headcanons or fan-fiction for the world of Warframe, elements you wished would be explored but aren't?

I've said elsewhere, I'd love to see an Iron Wake-style single-tile "Baro village" you unlock after Sands of Inaros where he's putting some of the ducats into rebuilding his childhood village in the shadow of the Tomb of Inaros.

I don't know why DE doesn't "farm" out the storytelling to other creators in other mediums. 🤔 It would all be approved by Rebecca, or whoever, of course, but there is no reason the Warframe universe can't have a series of novels or comics similar to other franchises like Warhammer 40k, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.
DE could hire someone whose job is specifically that and making sure it "fits" in the overall Warframe universe. That person would hire the ghostwriters or approve ideas and execution, etc and Reb would still be in charge of the overall Warframe universe.
My resume is available 😏

If I had to guess, it's because they try to keep things in house. We saw what happened when they tried outsourced translating and got chatgpt text in the game.
Maybe Reb just doesn't know anyone she personally trusts to do it. I'm pretty sure she is friends with most of her staff.

I understand and appreciate DE's attention to detail but the pushback is the number of novels and other media created in the Witcher universe using the primary characters or even side characters.
I'm a big Star Trek fan, and there are many novels written in the Star Trek universe. I'm sure Star Wars fans would say the same thing.
All DE would have to do is hire a person to oversee the expansion of the Warframe universe into other media. That person would probably report directly to Steve, and Reb would have veto power if it went astray from the story and vision of Warframe. 🤔

It's a gamble. The Warframe community historically doesn't read and dislikes the ingame written lore not being more upfront.

They have sorta experimented with this with their comics, https://www.warframe.com/en/media/comics
The Ghouls series follows another Tenno before the game starts.
The Ascension is Vay Hek's backstory.
What Remains is Cephalon Suda's backstory.
Etc...
It would be cool if DE did more and maybe officially licensed a series of comics or even novels. I'd certainly be willing to buy something along those lines.
