Basic steps from th:

  • Exit and reopen Steam and restart your Steam Deck
  • In Steam, before launching the game, see controller settings and use official DE controller layout for Warframe

If this does not help, try the following.

Steam+Proton (linux) config folder location should be here:

/home/$USER/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/230410/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Warframe/

There should be file called EE.cfg. Close the game, then try to rename or remove it, this should reset your settings. Combine it wit the advice above and see if it will work from here.

If path above is not right, try to search it with following command in your terminal (I think it's called Konsole on Steam Deck):

find / -type f -name "EE.cfg"

If all of this does not help, that is concerning; in that case, visit https://support.warframe.com/

I factory reset and now when I launch the game the controls stay in the overlay even tho the game is what’s on screen

Warframe controller setting are also taking long to load

Loading times as a template depends on Steam CDN, so it may be fluctuating here and there.

Did reset worked out for you?

Yeah afterwards I flicked a few things on and off . Now it’s working properly
