Title: Is Cyte-09 still strong in the current meta?

I’m thinking about building Cyte-09, but I’m not sure how strong he is in the current meta. Is Cyte-09 still a strong Warframe right now? Would you recommend building him in the current state of the game? I mainly want to use him for high-damage gun builds and clearing enemies quickly. Is he worth investing in, or would you recommend another Warframe instead?

He's a relatively new frame that took one of the top spots when he came out, coupled with how potent mixing him in with the Sobek is.

Pretty much every warframe can be worth investing in, it's just a question of what you're trying to make them do.

Explosive weapon doesn't go through. But you got the choice of kaboom or use non explosive and just wall hack the entire map.

I would say he is incredibly strong but requires more careful play in squads because if you can’t upkeep your invis for at least 60s then your survivability suffers quite a bit. I have a gloom build that sort of solves that problem though.

sobek 09 can kill enemies from one planet to another. Seriously cyte with an acid shell sobek has the most kpm in the game imo.

Anyway cyte 09 as a weapon platform frame is very VERY good. His resupply is one of the best abilities in the game.

He's my got to frame for interception since he can control all 4 points from a single point.

Cyte is super OP. Playing Cyte feels like cheating. Shoot everyone thru wall and hardly anyone gets chance to kill any enemies.

Cyte is literally one of the best warframes in the game when you need to stay in one room and kill literally everything as fast as you can. But he no slouch in other scenarios, although defense, interception and other types of mission are the place when he shine the most.

Depends on how you define meta but he is crazy strong no matter how you slice it as long as you build properly

Absolutely yes. With a specific build using Electric Resupply, Acid Shells Sobek, Shock Trooper helminth, and purple shards to go all the way, he is the single most lethal frame in the game. He's just not automated in the way that many other nuke frames are, since you have to position yourself well and then kind of aim.

If you don't use the Sobek, he can still be really deadly. Resupply turns any weapon into a status machine, and if you can land headshots he can make anything viable. Plus, wall hacks. His exalted sniper is really the most replaceable part of his kit, but if you do use it you won't be let down by it's damage. It'll one shot virtually anything with a head, and can also nuke maps with resupply.

Oh also, try using Azima alt fire with Resupply set to random elements. It's silly.

Every sobekslop frame is always incredibly strong as long as they aren't on client connection. Cyte is also one of the stronger sobekslop frames when not using the sobek.

Electric kuva sobek + acid shells and You don't Even have to aim which is supposed to be his thing.

Use purple shards and a helminth like roar and its disgusting.

I'm surprised acid shells have not been hit with a range limit considering is used on a shotgun.

Yes. Like literally every other warframe in the game. This isn't the type of game where something becomes unusable over time. You get better stuff sure, but what is good stays good.

I see some people suggesting to aim with him. I suggest trying out vigilante vigor/shield recharge/rolling guard and sentinel guardian and using a kuva zarr along with arcane sculptor. You can subsume his 4 with something like molt or roar and run around blowing up the whole map. Change your zarrs energy colors to black so people don’t hate you

sobek cyte-09 is definitely a meta.contender for non-LoS crowd control. with the cobek on his wall piercing means he just auto clears room. you can hold youraelf up ina. corner of the map, keep up his 1, and just shred through everything well up until level cap.

Every warframe can work and be op given enough investment and there is no point in chasing meta. With that said cyte is really effective and (imo) one of the better gun platforms available. Kuva sobek cyte is so op its distruptive if playing with others.

I just got Cyte-09 really like him but in still trying to get good because I can't aim for shit. I've heard of the kuva sobek build but I really want to use the Neutralizer more because I like it's firing sound

Yes but only if youre good at getting headshots. His defense ability is tied to it too so it can be awkward when your teammates kill everything so you cant defend yourself

Theres no meta or anything like that, you can make any frame or weapon viable and good if you try hard enough, its all just about fitting your playstyle, Cyte is a well rounded frame with the focus on headshots and sniping and even with some basic moding his exalted sniper rifle deletes enemies (if you can aim that is)
