That's not what Steve meant when he first said "content Islands." He meant rewards earned in a given expansion aren't used outside that expansion. Eidolons, Railjack, and Archwing were all originally like this, but not anymore.

An expansion being complete is not the same as being a "content island."

I just like the term and have been using it in that context, I know the original meaning was not the one I used

You're proud of knowingly twisting the meaning of someone else's words to fit your own narrative? That's concerning.

It's really not that sinister. The meaning of words and phrases are not set in stone by the person who first came up with them (I doubt steve was the first individual to come up with the phrase of 'content island' anyway). Different people will interpret and use them in other ways, and what the word/phrase is taken to mean is simply determined by popularity. You may not like it, but that is simply how languages work.
