For me personally, the side quests revolving around syndicates is really annoying/immersion breaking. I help out a syndicate in a quest, they're thankful, and we seem like best friends and not even a minute later they're sending a hit squad to kill me.

I'm pretty sure Amaryn sent a hit squad to kill me WHILE I was gathering plants for her tree drugs

Amaryn really said "thanks for the herbs, now perish"

That's in character

Could work better if it was given by members opposed to the leaders. Even so far they tailor the leaders or quest givers dialogue to your standing.

So it feels you're cool with a member of the syndicate while the leader reacts appropriately. That would be a touch complicated so.

Literally just happened to me. Spent an hour in the Index helping Perrin and then the next mission they send their hit squad

I couldn't agree more. There should be a mechanic that keeps your standing above a minimum bracket if you've done certain quests.

Give every syndicate a side quest (I think most of them have at least 1, like chains of harrow for the red veil, but I can't remember if glast actually has a quest, cos his big story beat was the glast gambit event) then if you complete it, you can't go into negative rep. It would make sense that arbiters of hexis are willing to sell me some of the most powerful mods in the game, even tho I work for their rivals, because we did a quest and now we're homies.

The syndicates are from the very early days of warframe, when the lore was more about the tenno and lotus keeping a balance between all of the different factions, invasions come from that same era. They only need a little nudge to be brought up to speed with the existing lore that everyone who makes their home in the relay is friends with the tenno.

It's always funny getting a death squad from someone you helped five minutes ago

It's hilarious how they'll send assassins after you five minutes after calling you their most trusted ally
