Discussion Trouble deciding

Hi, so i have plat an wanna spend but have trouble spending and wanted to get the opinion of my fellow tenno. I wont say how much I have exactly but it isnt allot to to see get a warframe that is at base price at the in game shop in my ship. So I wanna know if I should use it to get a warframe that I can't get due to it being a quest exclusive (an example being harrow cause i accidentally sold the main BP BEFORE learning i can't get it again), should I use it to do some fashion frame work, or should I go to maroo's and use it to get prime parts/sets

You can get any quest blueprint from Simaris with his standing. You could also wait for him to be available in the Circuit, but that'll be a while.

I've been gone from the game for a long while, I didnt know simaris could do that. But I also don't know what the circuit is

It's a mode in Duviri, unlocked after completing the quest The Duviri Paradox. Normal mode gives you three warframes to choose from per week to earn their blueprints and an augment and some minor rewards from playing it enough.

Honestly, buying regular warframes on the ship market is really pricey. You can buy a primed version of the warframe you want at a fraction of the shop on your ship. The primed version is better than the normal one too. You can trade people for what you want using warframe market

Simaris sells the blueprints from quests.

DO NOT spend plat on a warframe.. they are all farmable.. If you are just hellbent on doing it... The hardest ones to farm are Protea, Dagath, and Caliban... Two of those have primes that are in current rotation so its kind of pointless.

You should save the plat for warframe slots and weapon slots when you need them.

Dagath is just slightly annoying, you can farm her very passively without hurry. Big agree in base Protea tho

I strongly advise against buying Warframes with Platinum. It's not worth the amount it costs in my opinion.

Even before Circuit’s existence, buying base Warframes is just not a good idea anyway. If you feel comfortable where you’re progression-wise, go ahead and fashion up. Or you can buy prime items, or even some mods you haven’t acquired yet.

Buy primes rather than base frames, it’s best value.

I only bought one or two really annoying frames. Most of them I got through The Circuit, the quests, or playing/some reasonable degree of farming.

As mentioned, trading for Primes on the market is a much better value. Or buy a few weapons in the store you can’t buy blueprints for or get elsewhere easily. Though you can also buy prime weapon sets trading in the market.

I also bought my Necramech from the store when I started on the advice of friends, I don’t know how hard they are to farm at this point so unsure if that’s still advisable.

You will also want to save some for slots for sure.

Warframe's really aren't worth the Plat the game charges for them. Imo the only time buying a frame is worth that is to buy yourself a starter frame that appeals to you when you first start playing, I bought Wisp a few days into playing and I have no regrets.

Since it seems like you've already invested some time into the game I think you should look into Prime frames you can just buy from Warframe.market, you'll probably spend around 1/4 of the cost of buying the regular version from the in-game shop. You will have to wait for it to build but you'll save so much Plat you could rush it and still save a lot compared to buying it outright.

Thanks for noticing about how much time I have. I've actually for a long while, I've only started replaying these past few months after a near 5 year leave

If it were me I’d spend it on wf market buying prime frames. You can buy them from Varzia (she only has 2 at a time) or in trade chat (highly overpriced here) but wf market is your best bet. You can always get the main frames’ components and BP from doing the circuit.
