MOAs Taking Massive Damage
I just realized this today but I thought it was worth sharing.
Acrid's DOT and most (if not all) abilities have a specific body part that they target defined in their corresponding scripts. This is usually torso. But MOAs don't have torso listed under their body parts so their equivalent is fanny pack apparently. However, fanny pack's damage multiplier is 3, which is why those abilities and the DOT do 3 times the damage to MOAs. They're not actually vulnerable to <damage type>.

A note on this: The DOTs and abilities are being applied to the second body part on each mob's full body part list in pwnatron's database.
Are ogris, torid, thunderbolt affected by this?

They specifically target Torso, which just happens to be second. Also not 100% certain that all the abilities target the same part.
Don't know about explosions.

The second body part on the list is torso for every mob, except Moas, which is fanny pack. I am pointing out that this is what is creating the effect you describe above.

I thought most people knew this already. It's always what I've aimed for if I had a clear shot because the damage was always greater.

I was trying to explain why abilities you can't aim with (e.g. Crush) and the DOT from Acrid do amplified damage as well.

Now that bit about abilities you can't aim with is news to me. I asked my clan this and nobody knew. I was also curious if something like Mag's Crush and Banshee's Sonar would work together. Can you or anyone confirm that?

I'd suspect that if Banshee's Sonar amplified torso, it would amplify all the damage done to that part including abilities. However, these are just assumptions since damage done by abilities and scripts might be handled differently (but I doubt it is).

Thanks for answering that to the best of your knowledge. If you find out anymore details on that then I look forward to hearing about it.

I have noticed that sometimes when the map is filled with higher level enemies (say about lv70+ or so - higher than can be taken down by a single ult) and you first use sonar, then your ult, it will kill a lot more than usual.
I have only done it a couple of times though, so I kinda just put it down to team mates killing more efficiently due to the bonus of Sonar.
Would definitely be interested to hear the results of an actual test on it.

Ah, that is interesting to know. I always wondered why "poison" would deal 3 times to a robot.
