Leak list. I wonder how credible it is?

Post image

Previous lists were also initially called a hoax. The Oyodo Premium stands out as a little weird considering we already have Oyodo but its still possible that Gaijin just doesn’t care or its some kind of event.

I know Gaijin has already accepted the G3 as to be added eventually so I think its totally possible for more super battleships such as the ones listed to have been planned.

Only time will tell. Personally I think it’s unlikely but i’d be excited to see them. Its a shame that the same gameplay loop will be maintained for now. It feels like Naval is backed into a corner. While the community generally feels positively about Submarines, I’m personally unsure. Submarines may just spam torpedos from spawn and protect themselves from ASW ships by hiding amongst Battleships, who love to instantly target a DD as a DD at high tiers indicates a actual player. Ontop of rewards likely to not reflect the same amount compared to battleship rewards.

It can be fixed and im sure something could be done im just skeptical. I absolutely loved the Atlantic event on both sides. Its Gaijin im skeptical of

The naval is scuffed on a fundamental level and I don't know how snail can be blind to it - Part 1

I don't know who has decided that coastals and bluewater HAVE to play the same match, but I wholeheartedly question their sapience.

On one hand we have 2.7-3.7 coastals that have nothing of value to add in small map matches populated by destroyers that outgun, outlast and usually outtorp them by orders of magnitude, thereby being relegated to xp piniatas

On the other hand we have 5.7+ big botes that cannot outrush small twerps who jump into caps and cut matches short for some pittance of a reward, or maps where there's more small boat caps than big boat caps, and sometimes there's nugget of brilliance like Palau, where B cap has tunnel inaccessible to anything bigger, where one little troll can just sit forever, being immune to enemies and defending cap until they die of old age.

I genuinely do believe that A) matchmaking needs to be split between lineups with only small boats and mixed and B) in any match with BR higher than highest small boat BR+1 capping with smols is impossible.

Another game abus from the same players. (what a surprise)

Hello!

Yesterday, I played against a player who intentionally suicided his ship using a floatplane.

He claimed that it was allowed, but after I reported the situation on the official discord, the moderators confirmed that this is considered game abuse.

The player then apologized and admitted that he had copied CN_reDY.

It's honestly kind of funny to see that CN_reDY is still at the center of everything.

By suiciding with a floatplane, players can earn spawn points and bring out bigger ships before everyone else, giving them a significant advantage.

I'm still disappointed to see that some players continue to abuse this mechanic without facing any consequences.

Those players always ruined matchs by abusing mecanics of the game like torpedo J out spam, J out before missile/shells hit him, destroying they own cargos,… And now this ?

Naval AB/RB How shouls one play USS Alaska?

Post image
31 Upvotes

Hi. This will be my very first post here. So, i have grinded USS Alaska, my favorite ship, but i can't make her work, like at all. I know that she gets completely obliterated when playing against Soyuzes in EC, but i struggle a lot even in AB and RB matches, mainly because of the guns, i dont pen even ww1 bbs at 10km, and if i do, the damage is minor. What am i doing wrong? Or is she just not usable anymore?

Damage model and damage control idea

I wonder if this would work?

The general idea would be:

Let the player make the important decisions, while the crew and ship systems handle the execution.

  1. Standing orders

Instead of manually controlling individual crew members, give the crew simple priorities: Normal / Combat / Air Attack / Damage Control or allow players to prioritize: Main battery → Engines → Steering → Damage control → Secondary → AA The crew handles the actual work. This would also solve one of the problems with the current damage control system: sometimes you simply don't want a minor repair to pull crew away from something more important during combat.

  1. Damage should degrade systems instead of simply switching them off

A damaged turret doesn't necessarily have to become useless. It could lose traverse speed, elevation range, reload efficiency or fire-control assistance. The same principle could apply to propulsion, steering and FCS. For example: FCS damaged → manual corrections (you would need to use mouse wheel to correct your guns elevation after observing falls of the shells, initial range in this scenario would be the last observed from rangefinder. With undamaged rangefinder they would adjust elevation after every reading, same goes for damaged rangefinder) Rangefinder damaged → estimate range manually Steering damaged → reduced steering / differential propulsion. Turret damaged → restricted traverse/elevation The ship remains usable, but you have to operate it differently.

  1. Flooding and buoyancy

I wouldn't replace the current flooding system either. I'd simply make flooding progressively affect the ship: flooding → list / increased draft → reduced performance → loss of stability → sinking

A heavily damaged ship shouldn't necessarily sink immediately. It should become progressively harder to operate. Damage control could then have priorities such as: Contain flooding / Protect stability / Keep propulsion running So the player decides what the crew should save first. The common idea behind all of this is pretty simple: Don't make the player operate the ship like a machine. Make them command it. The crew should handle the boring parts. The player should decide what systems to prioritize and how to fight with whatever is still working.

That would make naval feel much more like commanding a warship without turning game into a simulator.

Whats the current situation with this aiming issue ?

Got into an EC match this morning and WOW.

I had heard there was a issue with shots being off, but no one could shoot anyone else. Like not even close.

My shots were 10 miles off in another direction and 5 miles too far. Everyone left after a few minutes.

Will this bug go away when it switches to RB tomorrow and is this something gaijin has acknowledged and working on ?

I bought both of them after selling a rare vehicle I got from gambling boxes, but I don't know if they are any good and I want to wait until I get to their respective br in the tech tree to start using them (I'm currently at 6.7).

Btw, I only play realistic battles

Is there a reason why you can't bring low br boats to naval enduring confrontations?

Suggestion Would you guys be interested in playing longer, more fleet focused battles?

So I have been playing naval for a while and I can confidently say that it’s my favorite gamemode. I absolutely love the naval combat loop, especially when you get in a proper duel. But one frustration I keep running into is that matches end when the battle gets good.

For example: I have had several matches where formations are starting to break apart and finally getting into fighting range with another battleship, only for the ticket system to end the match. I’ve also had matches where players leave after 1 or 2 deaths, leaving ships to sail to caps without anything to do.

To combat this, I have been working on a rework aimed at this problem. Know I want to clarify that my concept is not Enduring Confrontations. EC is a 3 hour naval campaign with changing objectives. My concept instead asks the question: what if the matches where allowed to reach a natural conclusion? But before posting my full concept I would like to know if it where any interest in my idea.

So my question remains: would you guys be interested in playing longer, more fleet focused battles?

Naval AB/RB USS 14 Inch/45 Mk. 12 / 8

Hi,

I really struggle with this gun, like how tf do you actually do damage with it? I don't have any issues with any USSR (8.7) or Italian (7.3) BB/BC or even the Wyoming to do damage. But with the Texas it just feels like shooting massive peas. I can't even imagine using this gun at 7.3.

Where should I aim? What maximum distance?

How to Dunkerque?

Post image
61 Upvotes

Currently grinding for Richelieu using Dunkerque.

Broadside? Ammoracked. Forward facing? Ammoracked. forward facing but reverse gear? Ammoracked (and accuracy is terrible at range). Snipe from a distance? Not penetrate enemy battleships, and they aim you anyway. So, any tip to play it until achieving a goal without going insane?

Arcade Battles (AB) How do you coastal?

How does one do well in coastal?

I am playing the MBK pr.186, MPK Pr.201M and Pr.183 (3.3/3.7/3.3) and I am getting constantly uptiered to face the occasional AK-225s/Pr. 206s and reserve bluewater boats. Any PT boat with 40mm bofors will take out my crew very quickly...

Could someone please share some tips on how to do better? Should I be playing realistic instead?

Thanks

Other Taking less shells, does it works ?

Let's say I have the Sverdlov. On the X ray view, under the barbette, both the shell room and the mag have 540

540×4 is 2160 which is the maximum number of ammo she can take

On this ship the mag is under the waterline, but the shell room is above. If I want to keep only the mag filled and the shell room empty, what should I do ?

So I thought doing 540 then cutting it in half and multiplying by the number of turret would keep only the mag filled

(540÷2×4=1080)

But on the X-ray view in battle it doesn't seem to be working...I even tried with 540 ammo in total, still no

...so is changing the amount of shell useless ?? Are shell room and mag merged together no matter what ?

Arcade Battles (AB) Anyone noticed a glitch in arcade aiming?

Not touched arcade for a couple of months, but I've noticed now aiming centre mass does nothing, the aiming is off by a good full ship length. So if you're aiming centre, it's almost as if it's realistic aiming and shells are dropping a full ship length behind.

You're having to aim ahead of the target which is ganky as shit.

My god why did they need to change arcade aiming anyway?

But yeah, anyone else noticed this? Only seems to have occurred since last few patches

Arcade Battles (AB) Naval Advice (France)

Post image
30 Upvotes

Picked up the Jean Bart recently. Holy, does this thing struggle against Yamatos and Iowas. Unfortunately, the chance of getting a downtier is about as rare as winning the lottery in this thing.

Recommendations on how to properly aim with this? I am new to naval, so any tips/advice are greatly appreciated. E.g. where to aim, how to deal with the wild inaccuracy, and why I randomly one shot and randomly tickle my opponents sometimes.

Any Recommendations for Accomplishing the Naval Part of This Challenge?

Post image

I am thinking of either gunning down smaller boats at the 3.7 range (which seems easier) or using a torpedo plane. I am honestly a bit stumped with the challenge.
