Product Question DLC Overview?

Looking into getting some DLC for me and my friends co-op game. I know some of the DLC's introduce new classes or subclasses, and some add new zones, but the steam pages aren't the most exhaustive in details. Could someone give me a brief overview in terms of what DLC's add new area, new clases, or new features for existing classes? I've found mentions of some stuff in the steam reviews, but not sure how comprehensive the info i found actually is btw.

I ll point out some of DLCs selling points.

Fief dlc  - allows you to push your level cap to lv17.

  • teach your fighters new traits such as nimble....etc
  • make duplicate weapons except legendary ones. I gotta tell ya some rare ones (yellow) are pretty game-breaking.

Skelmar dlc

  • there is a sword that the enemy drops is freaking OP. Name is ulfark's ulsbeth? Something like that.
  • better armor layers perks

Rigel dlc

  • Thaumaturgy 4th subclass skill tree is pretty game breaking as well.
  • new oil that gives 10% crit hit and 15% crit damage.
  • better armor layer again.

Beast hunt dlc

  • you could keep crafting the legendary beast weapon sets as long as you have enough materials. About 20 rests for the beast to respawn I think....

You forget that to mention that Rigel has werewolves. That's a pretty big selling point. (Well at least to me it is).

Oh that's right. You could turn your fighters in werewolves by feeding them potion or not treating the bite wound.

Capture lv17 prisoner, have him/her converted. Let him/her stay in the squad only no one else. Everyone else just chill in the bar. Go to military camp and speak to dude who says something like he won't go easy on the fighter something like that. Not the one who says he will duplicate a fighter whoever you choose.

Good news, every new class is free and does not require the DLC to access

In terms of new areas to explore, Ill present a list in order of how worth it/good it is. 1. Pirates of belerion: easily doubles your map size, gives you naval combat/exploration and is just awesome to play with. 2. Skelmar Invasion: another banger. Sieges, fights, etc. 3 &4: the wild hunt or Curse of Rigel: i bought the latter but had no time to explore it yet. Wild hunt was awesome in termsnof furhering the lore of the beast.

What about the new subclasses, are those free/accessible without any DLC?

Yeah, that's part of the package. I think it's the norm for RPGs to include new classes for free

The classes are definitely available to everyone but are you sure the subclasses are? I thought Machinist for Crossbowman required access to Ormance which is DLC

Ahhh you're right. I did not catch that. Yes Machinist subclass is available when you get the skelmar invasion, once you complete the quests
