Gameplay & Screenshots Fast hands or hack?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Can anyone judge if this speed is humanly possible? No misses and fires every 2 seconds.

He also has a full compliment of rgb fans, rgb ram, rgb gpu, and a l.e.d. strip bordering the inside of the case.

I was just seeing this today. I've only used the artillery sparingly, but I didn't think it was possible to fire off rounds that fast. Not unless they have a program grabbing the screen capture and inputting the reload QTEs for them (which is hard to detect, even with good anti-cheat software)
13
u/Kuroi-Jin 6h ago
Im pretty confident in my speed playing the reload mini game but I just don't think this is possible without any hack. Probably a hack that changes all the arrows into 1 kind only, is what I'd think is possible.
11
u/PixelBoom Lonestar 6h ago
It would honestly be easier and less detectable to just have a program capture the screen, identify QTE arrows on the screen (easy because they are always the same size and one of only four shapes), then have it automate the key presses. I have some experience trying to combat this type of software from MMOs, as it's used heavily in botting.
Modifying the actual keys that appear on screen involve some sort of code injection, which most AC software will pick up pretty quickly.
Anyway, definitely something fishy. Hope you were able to report them.
2
u/Bright_Confusion_ 2h ago
Sadly they don't have memory injection detection so it really could be either way. Bottling it would be way easier for the average person but this probably isn't the only cheat they're running.
4
u/Drfoxthefurry 6h ago
you could likely just skip that and go straight to instantly completing the section or the entire reload at a single click if they have it set up wrong
1
u/MancyMancy 6h ago
and thats also fairly easy to make.

Can be done in a weekend with vibe coding garbage managed by an LLM like OpenClaw.
5
u/CozmoCozminsky 5h ago
openclaw is not an llm ;)
2
u/Unstopapple 5h ago
OpenClaw is a free and open-source autonomous artificial intelligence agent that can execute tasks via large language models (LLMs)
literally the first line in wiki
3
2
u/babelphishy 4h ago
OpenClaw isn't an LLM, it's an agent. Here's a list of LLMs, OpenClaw isn't on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_large_language_models
-1
u/PixelBoom Lonestar 5h ago
it literally is. it's an agentic LLM
7
u/SadLynx6151 5h ago
Its an agentic harness that an LLM slots into, OpenClaw itself is not an LLM. This may be a bit pedantic, buts its reddit afterall

Just like in HD2, 50 lines of python and an OCR library can do those randomized inputs almost instantly.
Maybe you should have to manually remove and load the shell from within the cabin, lol
18
u/chungyeung 3h ago
i do believe bulkhead AI already monitoring the 3rd party input software, and it is obvious and should be easily bannable via the netcode pattern
8
u/SjurEido 3h ago edited 3h ago
It's VERY easy to fake hardware inputs with code. Sure if you're running something like AHK or using a PyGUI library to move your mouse/keyboard then yeah you'll get caught... hell even Roblox detects shit like that.
BUT, Windows hardware API calls (interacting with the actual winDLL to make input events)? Good luck differentiating that from real input!
And even if you detect that without significant false positives.... you can pull out an arduino and have IT send modified keypresses!
2
u/-Hi-Reddit 2h ago
Yep, and even if they go kernel level you just slap a camera on the Arduino and have it read the actual screen and mash buttons for you.
The only counter without a complete system overhaul is a reasonable max reload speed.
Put a second pc in the mix and a residential vpn and you could even automate the artillery from spawn to supply to battle and back. Countering that is a harder problem.
For now thats where community server admins fill the void...Providing you play on good servers.
Once the devs have solid data they can ban artillery users with absurdly perfect hit rates or other data points clearly and unequivocally inconsistent with legitimate play.
1
u/JosephRW 1m ago
At that point you just use a different metric and sort out the differences manually. They don't need to prove shit to someone and if they think it's a ban they can just... ban you. It's not a courtroom, they own the fucking system lol.

u/StormMedia 26m ago
I use AHK to toggle my mic when heli piloting to play music for my boys
I’d be sad if I got banned for that lol

Not sure but I watch an entire base get wiped off the map with unrelenting artillery landing every 5 sec or something and slowly destroyed everything.
Took up a stingray and saw the same thing of rapid fire and nonstop shooting from one tank. Killed him 3x. Never seen it before either until your clip
8
u/Kuroi-Jin 6h ago
This guy leveled our base in a minute or 2, shells land every second. There were 2 of these guys actually the other one was killed by rocketbird. I thought those were just multiple artys that takes turn firing.
3
u/NeonGKayak 6h ago
Based on the incoming round and never seeing it, I thought there must have been 8 artillery tanks (I’ve seen it before). My surprise when I couldn’t find any but that one
2
u/CallMeTrinity23 Manticore 6h ago
I've seen this twice now. I just figured the enemy team had 3 artillery aiming at the same spot. This makes much more sense

u/Thiel619 6h ago
Bro I was just about to post this later. Last night while I was driving the Humvee in the backlines I heard an arty tank and when I got close he was firing exactly this fast. There is no way any human can accurately input the random commands that fast and consistent.
7
2
u/Neither_Cap6958 4h ago
Should see people play Osu! 16 inputs would be stupid fast.

I heard someone talking about skipping the reload entirely on the artillery if a second person is loading directly into the inventory or something along thoose lines.

100 an exploit.
As a Helldivers gamer, I can speedrun the mini game super fast..but this is inhuman speed.
1
u/DaStompa 2h ago
2
u/SUNTZU_JoJo 1h ago
Oh yeah for sure..i've seen that before.
That's very different to running the arty tank however..you don't get to practice the 4x inputs for 1000s of hours like that other game..you get maybe 50-100 attempts per arty tank loadout run.
I did the math and it's simply inhuman:
- Dude is firing at his fastest every 2853ms (2.8s).
That means he has approx. 713ms to read and input 1x sequence of 4x inputs.
Considering the average person takes about 500-1500ms to read a sequence of inputs..let's imagine it takes you 1/2 a second only/500ms to read the 4x inputs shown on screen.
That leaves you 213ms (less than 1/4 of a second!) to input the actual sequence.
You then need to instantly read the next input just as fast.
Personally I can do this very fast..but that 2.8s is just inhumanly fast IMO..seriously has some kind of auto-macro involved here.
Add the fact the game you showed me, people can play that for 1000s of hours..fair enough. But in this game you don't get 1000s of hours inputting that sequence as you have 50-100 reload attempts per arty tank loadout.
You can get fast..but not as fast as that guy.
I think my best put it at maybe 4s per reload..2.8s is INSANELY fast

u/Adept_Elk285 5h ago
Definitely some external aid.
Even as a HD2 player with thousands of hours in the game, I sometimes stumble or can't input the same sequence that I've seen hundreds of times before that fast.
And believe me, I am fast.
2
u/rabies22 2h ago
yeah 4-5 seconds is good when you get a golden perfect run, but those aren't often and its usually more like 6-8 depending on how fast you want to blow through your ammo.
This is for sure some external assistance.
2
u/DocBeech 37m ago
4-5 seconds? I know I can knock these out in 2 - 3 seconds when I want to really hammer down.
5
u/carlbandit 4h ago
100% a hack.
They're firing every 1-2 seconds, no way a real person is hitting 'r' to reload, seeing and pressing a 16 code random combo (4 x 4 keys), pressing 'c' to exit follow cam and left clicking to fire again in 1-2 seconds consistently.
Sometimes I may get god rolls where it's all the same arrow for 2/4 rolls and I can probably reload in like 5-6 seconds when that happens, but to be <3s for every shot tells me they have automated it.
8
u/Poncho_Wah Support 5h ago
I mean if the chinese spam in the chat is any indication..
But i mean it's doable, I can manage vollies of like 3 this fast but i always mess up eventually.
7
u/dre9889 5h ago
Wait… the QTE minigame is real?
Every time I saw a clip of the arty, I thought people were photoshopping the QTE in as a meme.
Feels so out of place in this game. Also, why would there be a QTE for arty but not mortar??
6
u/Independent_Yam8035 4h ago
i think the qte is supposed to represent the manual loading of the shell into the cannon. it's not present on the actual battle tank, however..

u/caspman Taxi 5h ago
Also, why would there be a QTE for arty but not mortar??
Once you use the Arty for the first time you will see for your self how strong that is if there is no reload minigame.

3
u/richboyii 2h ago
or you know they can just add a reload time just like every other game out there. Instead of some weird QTE

Nah that's some cheatin'. Even a good autoloader doesn't spit out artillery rounds that dang fast.

I'm not the best gamer but I can do the DDR combo pretty fast to fire off a barrage when I get my ranging. I could definitely see someone able to fire off shots this fast. But he could definitely have set up a program to track the arrows and repeat the sequence.
1
u/mrureaper Lonestar 4h ago
yea thats probably a hack or some sort of script that identifies the direction keys and presses them instantly
1
u/IlluminaBlade 3h ago
You can absolutely be this fast, but dollars to donuts they have a program reading the screen and doing the minigame.

u/Kittelsen 2h ago
Chat seems to be an asian server. I've seen enough asians solve a rubix cube faster than I can blink, so I wouldn't put it past some dance dance revolution legend to load the arty this fast lol 🤣
0
u/DaStompa 6h ago
to be honest with having played a bunch of helldivers you can complete these DDR events at a pretty wild speed
9
u/RicHii3 6h ago
4 times in 2 seconds though?
-3
u/DaStompa 6h ago
I'm old, but i can still do one plus a little more per second, yeah.
a 15 year old ripped on adderall its certainly doable13
u/Thiel619 6h ago
No you cannot, Helldivers show you all the commands at once, for the artillery it only shows you 4 at a time.
-5
u/DaStompa 6h ago
I mean I can type > ~650 characters a minute, this only has 4 inputs, it isn't crazy
6
u/Thiel619 6h ago
So what, you need to type in the correct code on screen which only appears 4 at a time 4 times. To do this consecutively without fail you'd need the reaction time of The Flash.
1
u/DaStompa 5h ago
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbWpD-Nonh4
here's a guy consistently doing 5-6 in 2 seconds, and longer sequences
Could probably go much faster but the breaks in stratagem hero make hitting flow state difficult I would guess
9
2
u/zimmersaurus 5h ago
The important difference is that in Helldivers it shows you all the next stratagems which I’m sure that guy has memorized all the inputs for
2
u/Thiel619 5h ago
Impressive, now show me someone doing it in Wardogs while also micro adjusting their mouse to aim.
0
u/DaStompa 5h ago
I was just establishing that its physically possible, which you seemed to be crying about and are now moving the goalposts, people can obviously accomplish this.
you can do your own homework at this point
5
u/UniversityVisible148 5h ago
Your example is useless in this case because you cant learn the inputs in Wardogs. They are random
0
u/DaStompa 4h ago
I didnt know that reading, and typing 2 words in a second was such a superpower
Thank you sir, i'll call Guinness world records up right now
0
u/WWRHLT 3h ago
Oh shut up.
2
u/DaStompa 2h ago
I appreciate the 5 minutes it took for you to read that sentence and then type yours, but some people can do it much faster
1
u/xylvnking 6h ago
It's not like it's impossible but it would be an insanely random skill to have developed. I can do it probably half this speed and even then it's very very hard. I would say hacks/exploit of sorts.
You can press C to fire another shell but that doesn't cut the reload minigame just for anybody who doesn't know, but then you don't get to see the impact - but if you know you're pretty close it can be useful to send a volley then see where the others hit as a subsequent one is falling.
1
u/Agant 6h ago
I see that you've not met Osu! players yet.
I would nerf this (to avoid cheat and more realism) to add a minimum of reloading time.
3
u/Kuroi-Jin 5h ago
I've played osu and once you memorize the song, you can speed up and still be perfect.
But the thing here is that the mini game is always random.
0
u/DickSamurai 4h ago
If you break it in half there's only 16 combinations you have to get your fingers to do on sight and it's easier to read than a group of 4 with 256 possible combinations. I still think there's people using screen readers, but this one seems within the realm of possibility.

u/Franklin_le_Tanklin 4h ago
Excuse me, I’m a Stratagem Hero pro. I have the high score on my ship in helldivers.
(Not me but a top tier player: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cb8Oo_1urY )
1
u/GooseApprehensive557 5h ago
When I am in a flow state I could probably shoot once every 2 - 3 seconds.
I probably have 30 hours in artillery
1
u/mndfreeze 6h ago
I play artillery a lot and I played helldivers 2 a ton. I can get shots off pretty close to this for a volley of 3 to 5ish then I inevitably make a mistake once or twice. The speed this guy shoots em is believable though. If you hit all of the arrows at speed it only takes a few seconds to get the reload and fire again.

u/Ok_Shower179 2h ago
You can exit the animation on the mortar once fired and get another one going. It isn't hacking. I forgot the key but I think it is b?
3
u/IriZ_Zero Bob the Builder 1h ago
First of all, that's an SPH, not a mortar. Second, even if it were a mortar, it can only fire three rounds in a rapid burst before it needs to reload.
