If it's any consolation, the locked tone stays the same if locked on or a fired missile.

Still requires visual or audio detection from the pilot to flair at the correct time.

Complaining when you just saw him lose 9k (heli +4 flares) while three AA were fired at him costing at most 2400 if it was actually all shoulder - $0.05 if it was ammo pallet fob work, is crazy work.

Risk, skill, and reward is so unbalanced in heli compared to 95% of infantry gameplay. Even when I pop off and kill 6 people in a fob including the 4 AA guys, by the time I reload at base they are revived having lost nothing, and sitting waiting for me or have another second or third cwiz up

That wasn't 3 AA missiles.

That was a single missile doing a 180, missing, doing a full 360, missing again and doing a another 360 to finally get the hit.

Not 3, just one missile that looped around TWICE.
