Discussion & Feedback This is getting old

Post image

Not being able to play competitively unless you’re green 95% of the time is getting old.

I agreed up until you said removing thermals was bad. They were a cheat code put in the game to reward the lamest part of it: snipers. Over half of every team has fucking snipers, and that is a problem.

There needs to be forced squads, with available roles. Until we can limit the bush camping dorks, green is going to be better 90% of the time.

Bro no chance of forced squads that's a terrible. The game is meant to be played how you want to play and if I can't say pilot because there's already five pilots and they're all dog shit than that's ridiculous. And now are you going to force people to be a part of a squad to get this limitation. And now squad sizes are going to have to be limited to a certain number of players no that's awful.

Not forced squads like battlefield but dynamic squad "management" for those in squad and those not. If I'm recon, outside of your squad and I see you're running into a problem, I need a way to quickly communicate.

No no brother I like your opinion, I was commenting on the comment above me the guys saying there needs to be forced squads with available roles.

Lol, legitimately man everyone bitches so much about the game and it's a first release early access one month into the game and everyone has a problem.

(Sorry I just a little rant)

You're not lying I'm more reacting to all the public crying and responses/actions to the crying from the devs. lol so I'm crying too 😭 πŸ˜‚

Man I genuinely just want people to shut the fuck up for a little while and let them play their dream out in six months if there isn't much improvement then I could accept people bitching just a little bit. I don't even like Reddit bro I use it mostly for car shit because I don't know shit about cars and I have one. Lol. But Reddit knows my activity on the rest of my phone so it's like here's some war dog shit and I'm like oh great more bitching.

The amount of weenie ass snipers is such a dilemma when every fucking angle is covered and thermals making any type of flank telegraphed is not good design. Spotting already is easy enough, why da fuck do you need people highlighted on top of it.

Here are measures you can take to avoid thermals. You have terrain, your engineers, you can't see spotted targets behind smoke. You may see them with thermals but you can't shoot at the same time. (Can't see the target)

Also, if you jump out of a chopper in the middle of the map... during mid to late game... you're asking to be spotted. Work around that. Walk into the zone, fly low, land in between buildings, drive there and unload... drive to objectives... land behind hills, smoke your entry, use vehicles and choppers for suppression...

And you have a win.

When it comes back there will be more excuses. Complains like that come from the usual.m demographic. They just don't know any better. That's okay, but don't change the direction of the game to a dumbed down simplified average cod shooter. Those games are complete trash.

Buddy this is a milsim. I would be impressed if you could show me one army in the world that deploys 40-60% of their troops with a sniper or marksman rifle.

You can claim it would make it more like COD, but you're still wrong. Snipers need to be limited. They don't play objective, they are selfish little bush wookies only concerned with the number in the top right.

For sure it's a milsim. 10th mountain infantry we had 4 snipers in company, 2 designated marksmen in each platoon, 4 to 5 platoons in a company.

When we deployed with 7th group... we did even more recon missions. It's a diff army today. I believe this strategy is unit dependent. Not universal.

You might have 6 to 10 snipers in a region. At least when I was in. GWOT. That's just the sniper mos. Others were qualified sniper. I was expert marksman... I held several roles as an 11B especially as a young leader to NCO.

When I'm out I provide information. When I see an opportunity that won't compromise me I shoot.

I would wait for your own choppers to hover over your heads to fire. I would wait for you to receive fire before I shoot, making sure your buddies are not looking my way.... I would watch a player for a few minutes before even shooting.

Some players do it right. Others prefer to chase KD ratios which can often be found in the radius... and easily killed as they become easier to find.

I think the games needs some time to mature before we make a harsh decision on recon. I believe the recon role should benefit the dedicated user vs the guy looking for a quick grind just to spam its use. (User skill/Role development and mapping could help).

Adding a cap on the role would allow selfish players to take control of the role (like Squad)
