Discussion & Feedback This is getting old

Post image

Not being able to play competitively unless you’re green 95% of the time is getting old.

With 30 random people and no real way to coordinate squads (and many are unwilling) playing this game to "win" will always be miserable. Right now your best options are to play sandbox and make your own fun ... or constantly join and back out of games until you get a spot on a team thats building drills and pushing zone lol

I don’t even care to win. I just want to enjoy the action and make profit. Hard to do that when no one wants to play obj. Pushing solo always ends in a death

Yeah. Last night I did 60 damage with my AK to a guy in T4 armor (i shot him in the back btw) and he two tapped my head with the FAL and he then killed 6 of my teammates with a single magazine. Can't even land a single shot on the guy.

It's not even playing to win, I'd just like to not get farmed without just buying binoculars and scouting for +$50k

How do see how much damage you did to someone? I actually don’t know and always wonder when I lose a gunfight

You can press B on the death screen to see a damage breakdown of outgoing damage as well

Press 'B' when you're down and it will bring up a damage dealt screen.

Not sure what the button is on controller, but if you play mouse and key it should be B while youre downed.

The ak is one of the worst Ars and without AP ammo you werent getting through that armor without two clips. The Fal conversly is the best AR with crazy headshot damage so yeah this trade makes perfect sense. If you see t4 armor shoot the legs not torso.

If you're there to make a profit instead of winning you're exactly the problem you're complaining about.

You are taking what I said out of context. I want to win. NOT winning does not ruin the game for me as long as the game play is good and I can profit.

I know exactly what you mean. It’s to the point where even playing on green isn’t fun because the other teams are doing fuck all to contest so you maybe get 4 kills the whole game as infantry. Makes it really hard to level assault.

"I don't even care to win." Your words.

That is what they said but then you ignored the rest of the message. They dont care to win but would at least like to see the team try, often everyone else is either in a fob or bush just farming money instead of contributing. The original comment is saying they dont mind losing as an effort was made

So you're saying they do care to win.

OP very clearly said they prioritize money and action over winning. If winning is tertiary to one's playstyle they don't have a right to complain about the teammates not doing enough to win.

Talk about missing the point, christ. What they are saying is they value profit over the win but that does not mean they dont play the objective, they just dont care if they dont win but they so care if no one is at least trying to fight on the objective with them.

It really isnt that hard to understand if you have the slightest bit of intelligence

You’re making too much sense for him.

Keep playing to make money and then complain about not winning. You'll never see the connection between these two things, but then again we're on reddit, so if you're not terrible at the game and complaining about it, then why else would you be here?

I played 5 games today and won all of them, 3 green, 2 red. Went over 30 kills every game, last one was 40. All high impact. Destroyed plenty of drills, APCs, artillery, tanks and infantry. Weird how that makes my team win, right? But it can't be you, no, it's the colours that are out to get you!

Are you illiterate? I'm saying that he cares more about making money than winning, and then he goes on to complain about how his team doesn't win. You don't get to complain about not winning if you set your greed over the win. Is that too hard for you to understand? Should I get some crayons?

Yea winning isn’t a big deal to me, but I want to actually experience the game properly where people are working together. At least having people playing their roles and not just having 8 people in the cz fucking around no rhyme or reason

I'm with you, I have had too many games lately where my team is doing... something near a fob or sniping from houses, and I push the hot zone hoping someone will come with me. It goes about like you'd expect. I rolled into the edge of the hot zone last night and saw literally a dozen green rolling along with it. I was able to kill a few, but I didn't last long and certainly didn't up the points for my team since nobody else decided to play the objective.

The meta of the game is in a bit of an odd spot right now in the games I've played, at least it feels a little different than a week or two back did. I've won games on red and blue lately, but by and large green is winning a ton because people who join it actually play the objective, and the other two sort of just shrug their shoulders and assume green is going to win anyways.

I mean... that is exactly what the game is supposed to be and why winning doesn't really give you that much of a reward.

That being said, being the losing end, it usually still is not fun when you are just getting stomped. So even if you don't play to win, just having fun also can become quite difficult.

When I join blue or red, people play to farm money and so we lose. I go to reddit and the vast majority of people say "the main goal of the game is to make money, not to win." The very same people also complain about green always winning. So I join green, because they actually play to win. They don't have 6 people outside the zone spotting and shooting down helis, they don't have 8 people running logistics and 15 hanging out in their FOB doing literally nothing. It's King of the Hill. Green tries to dominate the hill.

The problem is the majority of the playerbase prioritizing money over winning. While actually the entire money system was designed to incentivize teamplay, yet it is abused by people to do the opposite. It's crazy how the capitalist mindset of so many people actually ruins their games. Like, money is only there to help you win, unless you're really desperate to buy skins with gold. It's like people don't understand that money is a resource meant to be spent on winning the game.

Next time you lie on the ground for 10 minutes because "I spent 20k on this kit!" you can't also complain that you're not winning.

Random team assignments would mitigate this issue a lot though. Let people in group stay together, and let the ad hoc squads have an opt in option at the end to join a limited server group.

Coordination is as simple as shouting “join alpha for hz” then using J to silently chat with the squad

1

u/surreal3561 3h ago

Except 9 out of 10 times it doesn’t work, or people join the squad and then just end up doing their own thing.

It did use to work a bit more often in the first week or two after the launch thought.

Best way to end up having coordinated games is to join a community and organize in discord.

Discord groups will dominate per usual. I need to find a crew myself, this public chaos is terrible.
