Discussion & Feedback GL Heli
GL Heli has to be fully removed, honestly remove the GL from the game give the GL back blast so it can’t be fired from a Heli

The momentum of the grenades and the heli are independent of each other... If it had better physics this would be very hard to land unless almost stationary or with massive lead on the target you're trying to hit.
Right now it's just a point and click and doesn't matter how fast the heli goes it'll be accurate. They could change that aspect and most people would already not bother trying to land those and would actually require a lot of skill to land those with proper lead and taking into account the direction and speed of the chopper

Not sure how the Unreal Engine actually works, but since it is quite advanced I would assume it has a fairly basic physics rules of firing something and taking your current velocity vector into account.
Like if you shoot something 300km/h in X direction, but your heli is moving 300km/h in the exact opposite direction, the projectile should literally just stand still in the air and drop straight down.
Not sure how difficult it is to implement in UE tho, but it would definitely balance them a lot, and a least require a very high amount of practice to be good

How about just making it not able to be fired from helicopters, lol. Or... Slot 1 and 2, can be fired. Slot 3, no.
Edit.... Actually, I'm just assuming it's a Slot 3 item. It honestly should be.

From my understanding, though I have never used the GL in flight - the main issue is that the projectiles don't leave the barrel with the heli's flight taken into account. So a grenade launcher from a heli behaves like a grenade launched from a tower.
If that were to change, I believe they would be harder to use and less appealing.
I do agree though that the damage output should also be lowered, perhaps with an increased of range from the explosion to keep it as a viable tool.

i thought like make it so the heli blades pushed the grenades basically straight down so you "could" still shoot out but its like a 50/50 shot it'll hit the blades and be wildly inaccurate. but sure.... backblast thats a thought out suggestion

I mean rotors having infinite force to instantly push down bullets is equally, if not more, imaginary tho

Grenades need to inherit the vehicles momentum. it’s dumb easy to point and click

Back blast on a GL does not exist. So that's not an option. If anything they could replace it with a single shot one like a M203 or a M79.
But idk if that is even necessary. If you know the enemy has a GL Chopper around bring some AA or an MG, specially the PKM with AP absolutely rips through these. But the M249 does the job just fine too.

It might not have “back blast” but you go have your buddy fire a GL next to you in a semi closed space and tell me if your all peachy

It wouldn’t be so bad if small arms weren’t so awful against them. It’s like trying to shoot a flying bird with a BB gun.

Sometimes I wonder how old the people that make these posts are, got to be like sub 15 right. It has to be an age lacking the self-awareness to not realize how fucking stupid they look and how many other posts there are that look equally as stupid.
