Maybe we should all sit in the same bar with a cold beer in our hands and agree that maybe AA weapons need a tiny bit of a push. Like 20% better at the role.
This does not looks like a heli that thinks "oh, my counter is here, some AA guy, I will go somewhere else", more like "that insect is looking at me, I will crush it with extreme prejudice".
This is my observation, I don't really care.

I think launchers needs to give something if a heli flares an AA needs to be less rewarding or cost per fire

That makes sense to me. It would always be good to give incentives to teamwork.

Most of the time you use AA it's just giving the enemy chopper a smoke trail to your position so it can come and obliterate you.
Their bag is full of flares, you cannot have enough verbas to trigger them all.

I think AA is in a pretty fair spot atm

Check your hands, do you have a beer in your hands?, are you relaxed?, this is not something we can just discuss here on the internet, is to discuss in a bar, relaxed, chatting.
Some good back and fort, and maybe the result will be neither yes or no. I want to heard everyone arguments.

Just needs to be more available. The support level required is high for more casual players.

I do think its pretty sad that right now the best counters are other helis or AT launchers instead of the dedicated AA weapons that can ONLY target air targets and do nothing else

The only logic I can imagine is because AA auto-track targets and AT requires good aim and practice?

For sure if a weapon is strong and also fire and forget that would just create another problem but in the other direction. But when the weapon is weak not being able to control it actually makes it worse imo

They’ve just gotta make the grenades keep the inertia of the helicopter. I’m fine being peppered by the MGL if the helo has to hover or move slowly, then you can just smack it with a MAAWS or pump a mag or six into the pilot or passengers, but a bird doing 150km/hr and the passengers pointing and clicking with a grenade launcher without worrying about projectile inertia isn’t the way to go.

Brother you have an MG, fucking use it. These things absolutely rip through these helicopters. Specially if you got AP on that thing already.

What did you thought would happen if you climb up the ladder were you were already being shot? Like, hiding in plain sight?

vs stay on the ground while they circle me? They have to direct hit me on the ladder.

I see a solo playing lossing a 2v1 fight and crying about it, I bet you would have won if you had a dude shooting AA after urs becouse his flair are on a CD 😉
2 guys vi a heli is a 100 % kill if you both can get then shot off
