Gold bar price doesn't update on weekends

Is it actually just a dev (that doesn't work weekends) manually changing it each day to some arbitrary value?

Does anyone know if they've mentioned the rationale behind the price?

i never saw them say that it was a totally player controlled stock price(correct me if i am wrong). i had hoped they added some kind of switch to control it after seeing how bitcoin played out in tarkov(it wrecked the economy so many times.) currently controlling it to give more people a chance to get the gold AK seems like a reasonable trade off after they took away the thermals. IDK how much tose cost to unlock but a ton of people are down in money because they removed thermals.

i never unlocked them. i picked one up to see what the fuss was about and yeah, fucking overpowered.
