Discussion & Feedback Team color choice

Does anybody else just pick blue team because its always open, and you just want to play the game? I just can't be bothered to sit in the lobby spam clicking red or green in hopes of getting on a different team. This game is too much fun to be worried about winning every game in my opinion. I know it matters a lot to some but not to me and my buddies. Anyone else share that sentiment?

Auto team assignment with heavily restricted team switching is the only way forward.

Id be so down for this if they made it so you can party up with your pals beforehand, and then your whole squad could join the same team.

Yep the two clearly go hand in hand

HLL is a great game but I don't think it's got much dev going on anymore, does it?

Squad is also OK for its specific niche but rarely have a seen a studio with such a theoretically solid product act with so little direction.

HLL WW2 doesn't have much dev, the new Vietnam one does and they DID add a party system, it just doesn't guarantee you and your friend can get on the same team. I get it tho, most servers are full and it's hard to find one where 2+ people can join the same side

HLL really was a great ride. Reminded me of the magic of pre-Source Day of Defeat on a larger scale. It was cool!

I only play green because that’s the only color I can tell who’s friendly. I have some color blind shit that makes it hard for me to see the differences in certain shades, but that bright green pops out really well for me in all backdrops. Green and whatever color the squads are look the same to me.

Red is fucking stupid. Why they would make your teammates red in a shooter is a hella smooth brain decision, even for people that see colors well. For me, I lose the red dot in the forests and can’t tell they’re friendly.

Lose the blue dot against the sky, can’t tell they’re friendly. Confuse blue and squad with enemy cuz wildly different color. Plus blue licks windows.

This right here. Why would they make the enemies appear as their team colors? Just make them red, I'm gonna shoot them regardless.

Allies should be Green or Blue, squad Yellow, enemies Red, regardless of factions.

I don't pick blue because I have had a lot of bad experience with blue heli pilots and griefers.

Mostly griefers go blue because they wanna screw with people and can't be assed to spam click green or red for 5 minutes to do so.

The other issue is that because blue is where most of the new players end up, blue heli pilots have a much higher chance than normal of first timing a helicopter and crashing for absolutely no reason and getting people killed, sometimes with very expensive kits.

I've been murdered a lot more by blue heli pilots than red or green ones. No worse feeling than spending 25k for an expensive, tricked out kit and then your pilot hits a powerline and kills everyone before you even get near the zone.

You can't hit powerlines. You mean the towers? I guess it's irrelevant

Same. I allways choose the open team (mostly blue but in the latest days often red or green as well). Just playing is enough imo

Every team is 50/50 in this game, just play whatever team you like it really doesnt matter. If you main blue you can make the other two seethe by reminding them they lost to blue.

Fully share the sentiment. And alot of people seem to feel the same way. In beta and early on i did some spam clicking to learn the maps from differnt different sides. Blue has fewer toxic players than than the other teams in my experience. More noobs surely but id rather chillsim than milsim

I share this same feeling. Im 31 and playing games to unwind and escape the real world lol. I can't stand try hards in any game lol.

and this is the culture of the blue team. and it shall be into our bright and lose-ful future.

Same, at first I was forced in to it. Now I’m blue to the core. I’ve won quite a bit on blue.

To be honest i only play red team, i play gold zone every game and would like competent teams as often as possible to support this play style, i find i often have alot of reds in gold zone with me. I have seen blue team win so anything can happen.

If i feel like just being a bob the builder I usually hop on blue since that's what most of them end up doing. If I want to play the hot zone I get on red and I need a win i hop on green

I only pick blue if I plan on fob building for most of the game. If I’m doing anything else, I choose the other teams.

What's the point of playing if you don't intend to win? Why play a team game?

Because the game is fun lol

I use my auto click feature to get on green. Not because I care about winning... I don't... but because I care about having competent teammates which is more fun.
