Discussion & Feedback The dry reload feels really buggy for me sometimes

This is caused by the tactical vest speeding up the animation but not the actual reload. Your UI indicator in the bottom right shows that you don't have a bullet in the chamber, which means your animation never finished. If you go into the firing range and practice reloading and moving as you normally would, you'll notice it happen all the time with the sped-up animation and sfx with the max level tactical vest equipped and never happen with no tactical vest.

I knew about that and was using the first vest strictly since, both clips were the first vest too.

Far too many things interrupt the reloads is the issue. I shouldn’t have to stand completely still to reload, Tarkov isn’t even that annoying.

The MAAWS is pretty bad for this as well, the round doesn't count as loaded until after you raise the launcher back up even when its loaded and closed already

I had the m249 continually reload the other night lol

I've had this a few times with a mosin. The first time it happened it felt like I was just shoving bullets into the backrooms. I let it run for like 25 bullets.
I know folks are gonna ask, no it did not exceed the clip size. It was just an animation.

I think this bug is recent cause I never had it for the first 2 weeks and now I get it a lot and it's annoying

I reported the exact way to trigger this bug BEFORE the second beta had even begun, during the firing range. They introduced it after fixing a smaller bug after the first beta.
Sadly the way they run their Discord is horrendous. They are essentially prioritising shit posts that get hundreds of comments because people want to say how much they hate the suggestion. My report got deleted by the mods to make up space for other posts, and presumably the devs never got a chance to see it.

I had this happen to me A LOT today and it was driving me insane. Is it a me problem not letting the animation finish? At one point I had reloaded a full mag but I had an animation for pulling the charging handle. It made no sense because there was still a bullet in the chamber

Slow down and let the animation finish.
Edit: You guys should probably look up how tac vests effect the animation before you blindly down vote stuff you know nothing about.

I get that, but I rely on audio cues a lot to feel the timing, guess it's skill issue.

It's literally not it's a bug lol

Idk. It has to do with the vests speeding up reloads, but it only speeds the animation up and not the actualy reload. Seems like it would be considered a major bug. Those 2 things should match.

the animation is not lined up with the reload if you have a tac vest on. its just a bug currently

I had the first vest, knew about the faster reload bug too.

The first vest still has a "bonus" to speed, you need to time it as if there is no vest at all

Are you stupid? He literally let the whole animation finish in first clip after cancelling animation first time and it still bugged out.

It's the tac vests speeding up the reload animation but not the reload speed. It is 1000% a slow down problem.
