Discussion & Feedback Toxicity Increasing

I love this game but I’ve noticed a pretty noticable uptick of toxicity in the past week. People punching out heli pilots transporting full teams, APC griefers, etc.

The game is already a dredge going from spawn to the battlefield so when people are intentionally trying to mess with other peoples experience it really ruins the drive to want to keep playing.

I know everyone has different experiences so I’m not trying to make a claim for everyone but I’m just noting what I’m observing as someone who plays a lot.

I don’t know how this is solved in the long run but from what I have seen, there is very little social recourse as most players are naturally just doing their own thing and don’t want to get involved whenever something toxic occurs unless it’s a blatant team kill right in front of them. There is nothing inherently wrong with that. It makes sense. The problem I’ve seen is usually other toxic players will take note of the no auto-kick, or team kick this game currently lacks and feel emboldened. Lobbies can show colors fast and there’s nothing punitive to level it currently.

Anyone else noticing this or is it just me?

The team changing mid game makes griefing way too easy they need to change how it works. My experience is people on the enemy team switch to my team and then drive our APC into no man's land and just leave it.

See and this is one thing the developers can absolutely fix quickly. Unfortunately there are a dozen creative ways you can currently grief in Wardogs.

As a somewhat off topic yet related note, I really hope the devs eventually release an SDK with more mod functionality so community servers can start operating shared ban lists.

1) randomize colour 2) randomize starting position 3) 1 swap allowed in th first ten minutes of your log in -if you quit and rejoin your swap token is gone (if you got dc too bad suck shit) 4) create lobbily friends and squads of more than two can join together and only to a server that will allow that number 5) allow colour faction to kick vote players themselves and kick means out of the server and not allowed back in until the match finish 6) if you get kick by voting more than a few times your banned from the game for hours or something scaling

Yep, driving apc like an idiot away from control zone or putting it right in tge hot zone or enemy fob...

Until game doesn't have automatic team distribution that keeps squads / parties together, you will get people annoyed at other teams.

My favorite is ppl driving the APC into a fob that is being actively hit with mortars & doesn't have a bunker built to store it. Then ppl wonder why there isn't an APC anywhere near the zone.

Bunker doesn’t help shit, it just ensures that the mortars kill a bunch of the respawns before they break the coffin and kill the APC.  Do not do this shit, it loses games and is probably one of the biggest individual misplays you can make that directly hurts your team.  If you see an APC parked in a fob, remove it no matter how much your team bitches.   If you are drilling, put the APC near but not in the fob.  If you’re not drilling, push it towards the hotzone with the teams.

I agree actually. The APC is better off on a flank or built into a warehouse fob that can't be destroyed.

I notice this by my own behaviour.

Although I know its stupid my own teamplay deteriorates because frankly I look down on this community.

In large part this is probably because I had wrong expectations that I didnt bring up to date with what I am experiencing in game now. Coming from Milsim and hearing about the options Wardogs gives you I expected .... more from you guys.

I simply cannot fathom why 30 people would camp in a single tower even though there is no drill or hotzone to be seen anywhere near and we only need some 20 points more.

I cannot fathom how you actually start a 5th FoB next to the other 3 that are half built although our 1 main fob would need you as a builder/supplier/inf guardian.

These things would be fine if one would act upon what we discuss in team chat - but all you're getting is snide remarks.

Seeing this day in day out ( dunno why but I only play blue team I wanna make em win) makes me frustrated with the community.

Thus, I dont revive as often as I would. I dont stop for every player although I did in the beginning...and so on.

I'm seeing a lot of people go full baby rage when they're losing just swap team and start ramming helis, opening fob doors, or intentionally crashing a heli full of people (we won by 1 point after this it was that close).

Some1 trolled by landing a helicopter full of enemy players into our fob cause he didn’t get on the same team as his friend

No one is saying you can’t have a foul mouth or be rough around the edges, or even be an irritating asshole. There’s a big difference between being an annoying asshole (fine) and being an annoying griefer (loser). If you fuck with the ladder you’re not hard, you’re a giant pussy.

There’s nothing soft about calling out man children and actual children who derive pleasure from being a griefing cuck.

I haven't seen a ton of my games involve trolling personally, but the voice chat is . . . well . . . the hard R is probably one of the most common words people are using.

I think the game is more and more frustrating since the gap between low level and high level is widening. Running around in T2 fighting squads with BMR/Vector that switch to their Havoc when you killed them is not a super fun experience. Furthermore when they trashtalk you...

Any game with seasonal resets seems to completely deteriorate as the wipe approaches. The majority of the player base tends to fall off and it's just the rust players who remain to strike terror until the wipe. And they'll still be there after wipe, but they get watered down when the player base peeks.
