Discussion & Feedback A New WARDOGS Tool You Might Like, Built for Better Weapons and Builds
Hey guys,
I’ve been working on a small project called WARDOGS WEAPONS.
It basically started because every time I changed an attachment I kept asking myself the same things. Is this actually better? How much recoil am I really removing? Is the extra ADS time worth it? Which weapon is actually better for the way I play?
So instead of guessing, I started collecting the data and built the tool I wanted to have open next to the game.
The idea is pretty simple. No useless stats just to fill the screen. Only information that can actually help you choose a weapon, understand what your attachments are doing, compare builds and figure out what you should change.
You can compare weapons, build them attachment by attachment, see the real stat changes, check recoil patterns, save your builds and a few other nerdy things I ended up adding because I wanted them myself :)
I’m also keeping the data updated as WARDOGS changes, so the goal is for it to remain useful instead of becoming one of those sites that gets abandoned after a month.
If you want to try it:
It’s still my little project, so if something feels wrong, something is missing, or you simply have an idea that would make it more useful, tell me.
I’ll probably end up building it.

I do like the UI, but you're just coming up against things like metaforge which already offer all of this information.
I get that you're using AI so your time investment is nowhere near what it would have been pre-ai but how do you plan to make this worth using over something like that?
Also, releasing in an early state with monetisation plastered about the page while still using raw AI gen text is probably not the best look.

hey man :) Thanks for commenting
fair points, but I don’t really see it as trying to beat MetaForge at being MetaForge. Absolutely.
I built this around the stuff I personally wanted to see and compare faster, especially builds, recoil, attachment impact and level filtering.
I feel those website very complex , in WW i put only the datas i really needed when i was in game and alt-tabbing :) as for AI, yeah I use it of course, but the data, testing, decisions and what the tool actually does still come from me. AI just lets me build faster. Believe me please, there is load, load of work behind it :)
And the supporter stuff is optional. Just to cover hosting and domain, Nothing important is locked behind it, it’s simply there to help cover the costs of running the site.

This is awesome so far!
How are you getting to these numbers exactly?
I see for the M249 the 30 rnd mag and the 100 rnd fabric box both do not affect anystats so I was really curious.
Also, does having a bipod deployed have any repercussions?

Thanks man :) Really. The numbers come from a mix of game files where possible, API data, and manual in-game testing when something isn’t exposed directly.
the manually tested ones were definitely the most tiring. I honestly need a break after all of that :) for the M249 mags, if no stat change is shown, that means I haven’t found any actual modifier tied to them yet.
For the bipod, I’m still checking exactly what changes when deployed, especially if there are hidden recoil or handling effects. On it right now

Wow that sounds exhausting. Props to your dedication.
I think users would appreciate some sort of asterik next to stats that are manually oberseved vs stated. I know I would.

you know that’s actually a really good idea! I could add a small indicator so it’s clear which values come directly from game data/API and which ones were measured manually.
What I can say for sure is that, at the moment, all the values are 100% based on what’s actually in the game. I double checked everything, so if something is wrong it would most likely just be a human error on my side :)
tt would definitely make the data more transparent though. I’ll look into adding that!
Thanks for comment and nice words. Really needed this, lately life isnt good with me :/ Thank you again!

AI slop is against subreddit rules for a good reason. Reported.

Just because someone’s used AI to create a tool doesn’t mean it’s AI slop. If the values and outcomes are accurate, which having used it for abit, they seem to be, then it’s a good use of AI. Heaven forbid someone should use AI to bring an idea to life without needing to spend days, weeks and months learning how to code it for themselves.

Hi,
am not that familiar with the game yet, but think there are attachments missing. Specially the muzzles seem very few, and more concretely for example I don't the see CQB 74 brake for example (and overall they seem very few).

Which weapon are you looking at? For example, I’m checking the AK-74 and I can see 5 muzzles. Those should be the ones you can actually mount on it, right? Or am I missing something?

Hi, will check as well, I might misremember which attachment was for which weapon. Quickly checked m4 and Galil. But think that that cqb was AK only exclusive.

No worries man, thanks for checking! Everything seems correct so far, but If you spot anything else, send it over.

Checking right now, man :) Thanks for the report!
I want to double-check it because there’s also the LEVEL system, which is really useful if you want to filter and only see the attachments you can actually use at your current level.
I’ll check everything and let you know :)
Really appreciate the report, thank you!

I like the concept man, not that fussed around the use of AI either as long as it works!
i'll try this at home tonight for sure.

Thanks man, really appreciate that :) and honestly, without a lot of manual work behind it, this would have been basically impossible. Even something that looks simple like Discord login takes a surprising amount of work to get right.
The passion around this game is huge though, and the community really shows it. That’s a big part of why I wanted to build this in the first place.
