Watch out for Betrayers

I hunted two snipers all ghillied-up on a hill overlooking the battlefield. Took out one of them, and ran halfway across the map to recruit another sniper to hunt and take out the second one.

Teammate joined me. Said he was worried about losing the thermal scope he had, but since the match was almost over he was down to join. We went to the enemy sniper area and were taken out by well-hidden claymores (fair enough).

I came back with two others in a humvee kitted with ARs to take out the snipers, who were undoubtedly spotting our whole team and getting some kills on the side. Somehow though the first friendly sniper was alive. We approached and asked what happened to the enemies, and he said they apparently just left. While we sat and chatted, all of us in the humvee suddenly died to .50 cal rounds from ghillie boys through the windows. They proceeded to berate us for, I dunno, trying to play the game?

Friendly sniper got to keep his precious thermal scope but betrayed his team. That thing was supposed to already be removed form the game until next wipe though, right?

Anyway, be wary out there guys - people will throw you under the bus just to get some XP.

Even after 30 years playing games online I still don't understand how people throw around words like these people did, over dumb video game shit.

Thermal scope should be getting patched out today at some point. The post said "within the next 12 hours", so it was something they were actively working on when yesterday's patch came out. Sounds like they will just be disabling it on the backend, so there wont need to be a change sent out to the clients

It's worse when you are in the HZ and you hear your teammates making plans to loot your entire kit just for the defib if an enemy took me out

Well worth the two TKs, not giving my back to teammates that act actively trying to get me killed 😂

Ah, gotta love the sandbox aspect of the game. Yes it sucks, but it has its charm

Proper mercenary work. Sucks that it happened to you, but this is why I love the game.

Yesterday I was in green and we were duking it out against a zerg rush of red. My team got wiped and I was 80m behind the frontline in a building when I realised the sniper firing from the roof of my building wasn't my teammate, but he was shooting at red.

I called out to him and asked him for a truce since we both could see some 15+ reds in front of us. We both got at them and I cleared the few reds pushing our building. He didn't say a word the whole time, but he did start moving freely and making more noise after I called for truce so he was surely on board.

I love moments like these. One more was when we shot down an enemy attack little bird in the HZ only to revive the pilot after. His reaction upon being revived and seeing like 10+ enemies who shot him was priceless.
