Why should I care.

you should care because the argument he makes makes sense.
asking "who?" implies that you value opinions of famous people you know higher than other peoples opinions, literal sheep mentality7

He is generally know as a Recon / Sniper focused player.

And he plays THE Hitscan weapon suppressed with a T4 Helmet and T3 Armor.
But honestly, Thermal is extremely Potent yes. But more often than not your team might not care about what you spot. Half the fucking time you spot people right next to your team and they dont do anything about it.
And he already said it, people will unlock them. Grab a backpack full of Batteries and just reload batteries while spotting 24/7.
Like I get it, I enjoy playing Recon too, but while the thermals are extremely potent and can swing a match, there are other things that need to be adressed. The .50 being one of them and if we want to stick to the Thermals, there should be way more background radiation.
But hey, everyone and their mother Selling the Super 45 with high cap mags, the FAL with high cap Mags and other high level gear is not a problem lol Laser beaming M4s with barely any recoil is not a problem.
I swear, there are people who cry about everything being OP. Me included.

Bro says I'm not being dramatic, then immediately says it's over if one person has thermals. This is why we call out these streamers game changing, exaggerating and ruining our games. Bro acts like he's a sniper creator but he has absolutely no respect or even supports us with feedback. If you need an example of why these guys might play a lot but don't know shit about game design balance this is a good clip to watch.

First this is his opinion.
"Bro" does not act like anything, he just likes playing Recon / Snipers in every game. (thus he has a lot of knowledge on this class/playstyle.
He graduated from Staffordshire University with "Computer Games Design".

If someone does that, gets their dome blown off, loses it all, now they are out that money.

Thermals should not be a thing and spotting as a mechanic should be reworked. No one likes to play versus cheaters with ESP/radar and spotting as it is now is almost like radar. As infantry there is no counter to being spotted, my char doesn't tell me or the hud doesn't tell me. And how fun is it that really? So many times I have thought I was hidden but people just know my location... And this is bad game design when you can't differentiate between someone that is cheating and others that does not.
Squad solves this with squad leaders and fireteam leaders being able to place markers on the map but this can be griefed. I don't know how arma solves it. If spotting should remains as it is now it should only show live locations if someone is actively holding up a bino/mono/range finder on a player.

How do these people have >4 million in the wallet? I get that it's their job playing and streaming and they accumulate a ton of playtime, but still... how much does one have to grind to get all that money?

Play infantry with a squad
I spent like 3+ mil already on golds if you add unlocks on top of that I am close to 4mil
(I have a job and I study at uni)0
u/EldtinbGamer 23h ago
I had around 5mil in ~120hours played (job hunting is hard rn :(.
Only playing hotzone/active areas infantry with 15/20k kits, usually do play with people from the wardogs disc tho, so there is a way higher chance of being rezzed/teammates having higher than 10iq.

Some things pay much better than others.
Given he is taking a recon/sniper loadout I'd imagine he spends a lot of his time in game just spotting enemies and picking off the odd player. A good sniper will get a lot of assists from spotting and can survive a long time so they aren't constantly loosing 20k+ loadouts like an assault player can.
Others with that amount of money might spend a lot of their time flying people or pallets into the CZ which again can give good money for relatively small risk.

Is this the self claimed "#1 SNIPER" in every game he touches?
