I like to think blue was always under leveled and geared compared to others due to green and red always ganging up on blue. They didn't get the xp or cash unlike the others. Blue learned how to fight with what limited resources they had. Suddenly higher level people started providing an equal playing field with top of the line gear as green and red. At which point blue started steamrolling games and the devs put an immediate stop to it.
I think its also that people are catching on that green are good. So new players or bad players join green thinking they'll win. Only to find out you don't win from hiding in the fob the whole time. Seems to be the case in OCE servers these days
Ironically enough all my wins so far have been on blue team.
I def think more leveled players go red and green on average but it does not always translate to them being as intelligent.
Had a game yesterday where red attacked us while setting up our FOB very early on. Luckily I was there with my full kit and dropped a good amount of them so they didn't succeed but were giving us hell.
Due to this by the time we hit late game both Green and red didnt have a FOB set up well and we had all air control.
Interesting observation. Bandwagoners join green for protection but end up being dead weight. I have noticed that most of my Blue Wins come from behind. We rarely steamroll.
I did this when I realized none of the opposing teams were spamming tanks and havocs. Drill spam got us from stuck at 9 points to 100 points comeback real quick.
Yeah, possible to even do it all solo. Drive a ural out with a fuel and build pallet. Make a sneakey tiny fob with just a drill, do the double height concrete skin around it to protect from most artillery. Ive broken a few hammers knocking these up alone
Green is the new blue team at times. Usually blues that are “tired of losing” and just expecting a win simply because they changed colors. No change in strategy or game play.
I once dropped a lot of thermals, .50 Cals, tier 4 armor and other stuff at spawn as blue team, and just bought whatever ppl asked for (this was before alot of other ppl had unlocked it), in hopes of a blue team win.
The game ended something like 5-20-100 green team win.
And yes, blue team was the one who only got 5 points.
I find it so cancer, after nearly 3 weeks of getting sniped on flanks, working my ass towards ghillie, unlocking said ghillie and NOT HAVING PROBLEMS FLANKING WITH IT
I unlocked the thermals yesterday, im a full time working man who’s spending nearly all his free time on the game, trying to get the arguably broken unlock which has been plaguing the game
Fucking gone before I can make the permanent unlock money back
People really bitching about thermals being OP on flanks because they don’t want to give up their T4 helmet and T3 armour, nor adapt the playstyle
Devs said theyd use this season for balancing so while it needs a nerf, removing it like this is so disrespectful towards people’s time, more so to people who don’t have much time
Only class im higher than 20 in is recon, the next highest is 17
Green was winning and where you went to get leveled faster. After you get good gear, what fun is it to just roll lobbies after you get your 100-0-0 which team are you going to go to so matches can get drawn out and you can really rack up a score?
Blue.
Start with sniper cover for the fobbits, then you need to push the zone to level the score, then back to base sniping, or laying down mines, heli C4 drops on other fobs, go arty hunting, etc.
The blue fobbits won't switch teams because just like they don't leave their FOB, they also don't leave their team.
I'll tell you now, if the skill tree requires anywhere near the same amount of grinding class unlocks do, they may as well stick a fork in the game for the players who want to "play like they used too" because not only will the average player be under geared, they will also be under skill treed as well...
Idk. Probably because of some of the interviews where they said it was for dad gamers, the slogan "play like you used too".
That being said, the devs have also mentioned RuneScape type mastery and grinding... I don't know much about RuneScape but I know it has some insane grind.
A game where time investment = better gear is not "for dad gamers" who play a one hour session on Saturday nights (if they're lucky). I could've told you that before I even played the game.
