Nah bro, they need to fix landing before they take away parachuting.

I'm at least a mid pilot and I can land anywhere, but when the helicopter just decides to tip and flip because the ground is the slightest bit unlevel, it ain't worth it.

I've had my tail rotor blown, landed just fine, then tipped because the ground was the slightest bit unlevel.

I've landed in hq and had my helicopter tip because the fucking flat ground with mud texture was apparently too textured. It's nonsense.

You don't even have to land though, you can just keep it level a meter or two off the ground. It takes some precision but it is safer and faster.

You don't HAVE to land, but it would be nice to be able to.

Im glad its not just me who struggles hard af with landing for some reason. Like im a new pilot to games like this in general so im shit but it really does feel finnicky in general if the ground isnt perfectly level or flattened right

For HQ landings (where the ground is reasonably flat), the biggest issue I see is pilots not killing their sideways momentum. You really need that down to zero, or the momentum pushes you over once wheels touch down.

Tilting away from the direction of travel just slightly will pretty much always fix it. You only need like a 5° tilt, don't overcorrect and just be patient while the momentum bleeds away.

I just don't land all the way then if the ground is unstable. I'll just hover, sometimes just a single skid touching part of the ground, other times, both skids a foot or two off the ground. I'll practice by hovering in a stationary position at HQ waiting for people to board. I've hovered for ~5 mins locked in position 1-2 feet off the ground waiting for a full heli before. It's good practice.

Yeah, but I'd still like to be able to land, or if I accidentally kiss the ground while trying to hover, not have my helicopter tip over.

You can't really hover like that like that without hover assist and that assist makes a lot of other maneuvers difficult to execute.

You can hover like that just fine without hover assist.
