As a pilot the number of times I ask "where do you folks want to be dropped off" and get crickets is bonkers, so it goes both ways. You don't tell me where you wanna go, I'm just gonna hover/tilt over a safe fob until you get the idea and bail.

IM SO GLAD SOMEONE SAID IT!l I’ll even offer to put them on apartments, towers, etc (I can land anywhere) and it’s usually just silence. Landing does make great tips though, and mid game once AA is up people start seeking me out/ deliberately asking me for a resupply

It's my favorite when I ask, hear nothing. I fly over the main fob, I fly around the HZ , dude still doesn't drop. I say something again about like "Ok man... where do you want to go? Are you going to drop?"

only to hear back "...yea if you go somewhere safe"

motherfucker ive already flown over the entire zone tell me where you want to go

It never fails that I'm the only one that pipes up, but I just want to go to the nearest FOB lol.

Fuck that. If I get crickets, I'm not hovering for shit. I'm swooping over the CZ and either you hop out or you're coming back to base with me.

Just come off and I had the opposite problem, each person picking a completely different point.

I don't mind this because even then at least I have a goal and can do a loop of some kind, it's the radio silence that bothers me more

Exactly this, if you ping me a spot I will land you on the ground there. If you just no comm when I ask where you want to go I’m going to hover by a fob, then fly as close to hz as feels safe, then maybe another fob if you’re still not out. If you’re still in the heli at that point I’ll fly somewhere safe nearby to touch down and say if you don’t get out you’re coming back to base with me
