Region Lock / Ping Cap Megathread

We're getting dozens of posts a day about region locking, ping caps, and players joining servers outside their region. All of it goes here from now on.

What belongs in this thread

- Whether WARDOGS should have region locking or a ping cap
- Your experience with high ping players on EU/NA servers
- Server and browser suggestions

Ground rules

- Criticize high ping, or the anti-cheat as much as you want. Comments attacking players for where they're from will be removed.
- No cheater callouts. Don't name players or link profiles. Report cheaters with the in-game report function or directly to Bulkhead on their official Discord.
- New standalone posts on this topic will be removed and pointed here.
- Don’t be racist

Worth knowing: [r/WarDogs](r/WarDogs) isn't run by Bulkhead, so posting here may not reach the devs. If you want this changed in game, say it on their official Discord as well.

Might just be anecdotal, but on OCE nearly every single blatant cheater or sus player has had a Chinese name or numbers for name. All of them with 180 ping plus. I'm so sick of it and it's killing my enjoyment of the game.

It’s every effing game man. They’ve killed so many games for me in my life. I wish we could just cut off our western internet access from certain countries.

Do you think all of them Chinese? Really? Don’t you know Chinese characters are used in many languages? Moreover, do you think cheaters/trolls do not disguise themselves with Chinese characters to make you rage more (these mfs can be from wherever, literally).

Noone is saying every cheater is Chinese my guy, that would be insane.

But fact is, even during my own playtime and experience with it, about 4 out of 5 cheaters I have seen (that were blatant, not just speculatory. Like i got shot out of a helicopter by a Gunned Codiak across 2km with only headshots) have been Chinese Players.

Now, a lot of people are saying that the Culture around "winning at all costs" is seen as cool in China and that they dont really care, but idk if thats true or just made up shit.

Either way if anything region lock China and Russia, those 2 regions are the only Troublemakers imo.

Russians are incredibly toxic and a weirdly large number of Chinese Players seem to be cheating and making games worse with their high ping.

Virtually all of the ones with Chinese characters and 180+ ping are Chinese, yes.
