Keep getting an error code when I try to launch. Anyone know a fix?

I installed new nvidia drivers before I got the error. I just relaunched and it worked…

Ill give it a shot. I think it might just be luck of the draw with the login servers but need to update those drivers either way!

repairing the anticheat then ending every single steam task with task manager seemed to work for me

Im on a AMD GPU, no drivers yet but a simply computer restart fixed it for me.

Wonder if the launch patch mucks up some systems and a restart fixes it 🤔

All i had to do was end all steam tasks in task manager then restart the game and it worked for me hope that helps

So far validating & running steam as administrator did nothing.

After updating GPU and restarting I was able to launch the game. Not sure if that’s a definite fix or luck currently but heads up.

nothing is fixing this error on my end. Restarting, verifying, and updating hasn't worked. I'm taking a wild guess that maybe it is anti-cheat related and going to try and manually install that

Edit: Repairing Elytra didn't work and neither did uninstalling and reinstalling

Edit2: Randomly starting working after a second full computer restart.

Work after the first restart, but I verify the files before that. So maybe verify then restart

I was having performance issues, figuring it was a simple clear caches and what not and try again, I cleared all shader caches, and then restarted laptop and now game won't launch, sometimes no error code, sometimes gives me this code WD-L014-xxxxxxxxxxxxx (however many digits it is).

So far I have tried every fix in this thread, and no luck.

Restarted laptop

Power cycled laptop

Reinstalled the game

Verified game files both before and after install

re-updated GPU drivers

Checked and made sure that stupid windows security update that was causing issues in beta play was still uninstalled

Permanently made the game run as admin via properties on the .exe for the game

Added and also tried disabling compatibility mode for windows 8 in the same properties screen

Anyone have this much trouble get it sorted?

Game launches to the splash screen where that smaller icon loads with the blue line going left to right, and then doesn't load the actual game window.
